Movie Corner

Site Map for the Movie Review Home Page

OK, OK, so I see too many movies and haven't been reading enough books. I started Pittsburgh Flicks, an informal blog about movimaking in Pittsburgh (now deceased). I've been posting mini-reviews at IMDB (recent reviews * * not-so-recent reviews, IMDB movie vote history). As Pittsburgh hosted multiple productions in 2008, I wrote about being a movie extra and followed the local filming of The Road.

Thanks to Evelyn Leeper for all her work on rec.arts.movies.reviews over the years. I stumbled over some old reviews I'd written years ago that she'd archived. I've downloaded them and have added them to this collection of short movie reviews.

Note: Many of these reviews mention the movie or "Chuck" scale. The "Chuck" scale was the predecessor of the Internet Movie Database, so a "7" on the "Chuck" scale corresponds to a "7" in the Internet Movie Database rating scale.
