Sephiroth watches Zack come to the life stream after being shot to death

Zack says, "Damn... that hurt a lot...."

Sephiroth folds his arms and chuckles

Zack says, "Huh? Seph?"

Sephiroth says, "Zack.. at last... I wake up. I have been asleep for 5 years..."

Zack says, "And I've been a lab rat along with Cloud"

Sephiroth says, "You should have died 5 years ago..."

Zack says, "Why?"

Sephiroth says, "spared you all that pain"

Zack frowns

Sephiroth says, "and I would not have had to sleep"

Zack says, "Why? You woulda died"

Sephiroth says, "I am dead… but now... that you are dead too... I can finally go back. why did you stop me?"

Sephiroth looks at Zack

Sephiroth says, "Why?"

Zack says, "For once... in my life... Seph I didn’t trust you"

Sephiroth says, "We would have died together. our blood would have run together… our souls would have joined and become one..."

Zack sighs

Zack says, "I’m sorry... guess I’m stuck here by myself then... but I really gotta go back... Cloud's in bad shape"

Sephiroth says, "you are not going back... I am. I have to... mother commands it and needs me"

Zack says, "But I gotta... he's sick"

Sephiroth says, "he'll be ok... He's going to help me now..."

Sephiroth chuckles

Sephiroth says, "Since my plan fell apart... I have to change it. first... tell me where the Masamune is"

Zack folds his arms across his chest

Zack says, "Neh. You never loved me did you or your kid brother?"

Sephiroth says, "I loved you. You betrayed me..."

Zack says, "I had to"

Sephiroth says, "no.. you didn't..."

Zack says, "And what did Cloud ever do to deserve getting his town burned down and all the real family he had left killed?"

Sephiroth says, "letting us die together would have stopped what I shall do now"

Zack says, "Well I ain’t telling you"

Sephiroth says, "no matter.... I will still get to the Ancient temple"

Zack frowns

Sephiroth says, "there I will get the Black Materia"

Zack says, "Seph... why? "

Sephiroth says, "Because.. it will help me become a god"

Sephiroth looks at Zack

Sephiroth says, "and everyone else will die"

Zack shakes his head

Zack says, "You never did care about me...."

Sephiroth says, "I loved you. I wanted to become one with you... but you rejected me..."

Zack says, "I loved you too... but after you killed all those people"

Sephiroth says, "for that I must kill everyone"

Zack says, "Seph.... killing is what made me do it in the first place"

Sephiroth says, "You did not understand"

Zack shakes his head

Zack says, "No... you betrayed me... you killed those people.. what was I supposed to think"

Sephiroth says, "Mother told me to"

Zack says, "Mother told me to... geez. You obviously didn’t care about me or him.... you just went and did it...."

Sephiroth says, "I loved you..."

Sephiroth scowls deeply

Sephiroth says, "you had no idea how much I loved you.. and Cloud"

Zack says, "You killed his mom and broke his arm... if that’s love... "

Sephiroth says, "I tried to stop Cloud from trying to stop me. you pushed me away too. we would have died together... holding each other"

Zack says, "I wanted to Seph.. but I didn’t trust you"

Sephiroth says, "why?"

Zack says, "If I could do it over again... I'd go willing... in your arms. Seph... you were acting irrational... killing people and destroying lives"

Sephiroth says, "and yet you stopped me from killing myself?"

Zack sighs

Zack says, "I loved you.... I wanted to make it easier.. I couldn’t watch you drive that blade into yourself... I figured that.. well... the Mako would make it quicker"

Sephiroth shakes his head

Sephiroth says, "no, You should have let me... it would have been quick and painless for us both"

Zack says, "I’m sorry"

Sephiroth sniffles and hangs his head

Zack says, "Don’t make Cloud suffer... I got rather attached to the little guy sitting with him in the lab for 5 years.... I took care of him... like he was my own brother... Cept I got shot....."

Sephiroth says, "I am not going to make him suffer..."

Zack says, "You know he willingly crawled into Hojo's test tube.... "

Sephiroth says, "I figured as much... dad could do a bunch"

Zack says, "I thought you taught him better"

Sephiroth says, "I did.. I told him to avoid father... but dad has a way with things. Zack... it's too late.... you made the wrong choice and must suffer for it"

Zack says, "I know... but remember I still love you"

Sephiroth says, "Where is the Masamune?"

Zack says, "Back in the reactor"

Sephiroth says, "where in the Reactor?"

Zack says, "Stuffed behind one of the pods"

Sephiroth nods

Sephiroth says, "then that is where I will go...'"

Sephiroth starts to head for the reactor

Zack says, "Wait... you gonna leave me ?"

Sephiroth says, "come then"

Sephiroth climbs up the reactor pipe

Zack says, "Wait you said I was dead dead?"

Sephiroth says, "yes"

Zack says, "Then how the hell can I ?"

Sephiroth chuckles

Sephiroth says, "I suppose you can't"

Zack says, "Come back down for a sec please?"

Sephiroth looks down at him

Zack reaches up to Sephiroth

Sephiroth looks down at Zack.... his face dark

Zack frowns

Zack says, "All I wanted was a goodbye hug... I haven’t seen you for so long...."

Sephiroth says, "Zack... you have caused me to sleep for 5 years... basically in hell..."

Zack says, "Fine. I hate you too......"

Sephiroth says, "you should never have walked in on me…"

Zack says, "I love you.. you know that.. And I’m sorry for fucking up your grand plan...."

Sephiroth says, "It's to late for that Zack... what's done is done"

Zack says, "Yeah.... whatever... goodbye.... go fuck up the world... at least when Cloud dies I'll have someone that cares about me to talk to again"

Zack floats up and watches Sephiroth for a moment

Sephiroth leans his head down... his face a mask of sadness

Zack frowns

Sephiroth closes his eyes, leaning on his palm... crying to himself

Zack watches... somewhat astounded

Sephiroth has tears dripping down his cheeks

Zack says, "Seph.. I’m sorry.... but I gotta go.. I’m dead and all... I’m a stupid fuck... there happy.. anyway.... enjoy your time"

Sephiroth stands up and streaks out with his Masamune

Zack sighs and returns to the lifestream

Zack hums to himself

Sephiroth swishes his Masamune.. after being defeated as Safer

Zack says, "Surprised?"

Sephiroth says, "interesting..."

Zack twirls his sword

Zack says, "Do I really gotta kill your cute lil ass?"

Sephiroth says, "how did you come back?"

Zack shrugs

Zack says, "Aeris sent me back... nice girl"

Sephiroth says, "she brought you back?"

Zack says, "Yep yep"

Sephiroth suddenly sinks to the ground... his darkness replaced by sadness

Zack says, "Seph?"

Sephiroth says, "destroy me... take her away..."

Zack sits beside Sephiroth

Zack says, "you wanna... do what you were gonna do back in that reactor what was it... nearly 6 years ago?"

Sephiroth says, "I can't... not any more..."

Zack says, "Why? We don’t gotta do anything but die together..."

Sephiroth says, "not die... I need to be destroyed..."

Zack says, "Seph.. c'mon you know I can’t do that"

Sephiroth says, "take.. her... away..."

Zack puts his arms around Sephiroth

Zack says, "Alright"

Sephiroth growls... his face darkening again

Zack says, "Will you go to the lifestream?"

Sephiroth stands up with the Masamune

Sephiroth says, "life stream..."

Sephiroth laughs. swings the Masamune around at Zack

Zack looks up at Sephiroth

Sephiroth sinks down again... tossing the blade

Sephiroth says, "please... "

Zack says, "Can I at least.... say goodbye... you wouldn’t let me last time"

Sephiroth says, "a final goodbye... and I was not in control really..."

Zack wraps his arms around Sephiroth

Zack says, "Will I get to see you again when I finally kick the bucket?"

Sephiroth sniffles... his tears spilling from his eyes

Sephiroth says, "no... I need to be destroyed... she has taken over my soul..."

Zack sighs

Zack says, "I understand.. I guess... I gotta find someone else... or die a lonely old man"

Sephiroth leans into him, tears spilling onto his chest

Zack kisses Sephiroth's cheek

Zack says, "I'll make it quick...."

Sephiroth inhales as he sniffles

Zack says, "I would have wanted to spend more time with you... but you’re liable to lose it again...."

Sephiroth says, "I want to be with you too... but she has taken me"

Zack says, "Cloud killed her didn’t he?"

Sephiroth says, "her body... he soul has merged with mine. that's why I must be destroyed..."

Zack says, "I understand, You know I love you... right?"

Sephiroth says, "yes... and I do too. It's why I wanted to merge with you.. and kick her out..."

Zack says, "I’m sorry..... I fucked it all up"

Sephiroth quivers slightly, his hands jerking out for the Masamune

Zack says, "But who would Zachary be if he didn’t fuck things up? Wanna know? A happy man. alright... Seph... I guess it’s now or never"

Sephiroth closes his eyes, rapping his arms around Zack's legs

Zack draws his sword

Zack says, "Wherever you go.... remember me...."

Sephiroth says, "I always will..."

Zack charges up his omnislash.. until the tip of his sword glows

Zack says, "Goodbye love...."

Sephiroth says, "goodbye... love"

Zack slashes at Sephiroth mercilessly... wishing he didn’t have to do it

Sephiroth stays glued to Zack's legs even as he is being ripped apart by the blade

Zack sobs as he completes the maneuver

Sephiroth sinks to the ground... green stuff streaking out of him

Zack steps back and watches.. feeling sick to his stomach

Zack blinks

Zack sighs and hangs his head

Zack says, "Zachary... we're a fuckup ..... "

Zack blinks

Zack says, "Don’t remind me..."

Sephiroth is laying in the water.. almost dead... the water red with his blood

Zack says, "I came in and saved you.... right about now......"

Zack reaches out to touch Sephiroth

Sephiroth is very cold... but there is slight movement in his chest

Zack takes off his shirt and tears it into strips.... creating a tourniquet on each of Sephiroth's arms

Zack says, "This is just a dream.... but I just can’t sit back. You said you wished I hadn’t walked in on this......"

Zack lifts Sephiroth out of the tub

Zack says, "Where’s your Masamune? That’s what you used.... but it’s not here......"

Sephiroth gets Zack all wet and somewhat bloody

Zack doesn’t mind being wet and bloody

Zack says, "Even if this is a dream.... Let’s get you dried off and warm... hopefully they haven’t left me behind"

Sephiroth coughs a little

Zack sighs and finds his way out of this place

Sephiroth is rather heavy. breathes shallowly

Zack lugs Sephiroth up to the highwind... which is thankfully still there

Zack ignores the strange looks from the others and carries Sephiroth to his quarters... then tucks him into the bed. grabs some towels and starts cleaning Sephiroth up

Zack says, "Just like the past... it’s just a dream .. I guess"

Sephiroth has blood down both arms

Zack gets out a medkit and begins to sew up Sephiroth’s cut veins in his wrists

Sephiroth lulls his head as he is sewed up

Zack slowly loosens the tourniquets once he is done sewing him back up

Zack says, "This dream.... It’s making me so sad.. its almost like I get to have you back again"

Sephiroth starts to shiver

Zack says, "you need a warm shower... then a cuddle... just like last time. Remember... the shower.... its what made me fall in love with you"

Sephiroth was out cold then... as is now

Zack says, "Well perhaps you don’t remember..... but I do....."

Zack strips and carries Sephiroth into the shower.. turning on the warm water and holding him there in it

Sephiroth is getting even more wet... but the blood in his hair is draining down the drain

Zack washes the blood out of Sephiroth's hair then cleans off the rest of his body.... not allowing his hands to stray too long near his groin

Sephiroth leans back on Zack... rather limp as the water pelts his body

Zack finishes cleaning Sephiroth.. and lugs him out of the shower... then sets about drying the both of them off

Sephiroth curls himself into a little ball

Zack says, "now its time to go to bed.. where I will cuddle you to keep you warm... and fall helplessly in love… And when I wake up... you'll be gone.... again... Cuz it’s just a dream"

Zack carries Sephiroth into the bedroom ... and curls up in the bed with him. lies there.... holding Sephiroth until sleep finally claims him

Sephiroth is rapped in Zack's warm arms... even though his own body is very cold. sniffles as he wakes some what

Sephiroth says, ".."

Zack is still fast asleep... wrapped around Sephiroth

Sephiroth closes his eyes and tries to wiggle out of Zack's arms... looking at his wrists

Zack remains asleep as he is a very heavy sleeper

Sephiroth says, "why?"

Sephiroth winds up elbowing Zack rather hard as he pulls his other arm free

Zack says, "Ai!"

Zack sits up

Zack says, "You’re still here.. I’m still dreaming"

Sephiroth looks at his wrists

Sephiroth says, "why did you do this?"

Zack says, "Cuz....."

Sephiroth says, "I wanted..."

Zack says, "Seph... I couldn’t let you"

Sephiroth runs his fingers along the stitching

Sephiroth says, "why?"

Zack says, "We're pals.. and... well I wanna be more.. if you'll let me"

Sephiroth says, "more?"

Zack knows this scene well.. as he replayed it over and over in his mind while trapped in Hojo's lab

Zack says, "Yes... Seph... I’m attracted to you"

Sephiroth says, "I never thought... but still..."

Sephiroth blinks

Sephiroth says, "how did you...?"

Zack says, "I came to talk to you.. you seemed depressed all day"

Sephiroth sighs and hangs his head

Sephiroth says, "how did you get in?"

Zack says, "I... well I excelled in thievery and such.. "

Sephiroth says, "oh"

Zack says, "Well.. I'll go now as you probably aren’t gay and are disgusted by my affections"

Sephiroth says, "no... stay... hey..."

Sephiroth turns around to look at Zack

Sephiroth says, "why do you think that?"

Zack says, "Eh... it’s my worst fear"

Sephiroth says, "oh"

Sephiroth chuckles a little

Sephiroth says, "Zack... when I was 13 I used to have my walls covered with pictures of naked men"

Zack says, "Well I didn’t know that"

Sephiroth rubs the stitching

Zack says, "You never talk to anyone..... you always stay distant. does it hurt?"

Sephiroth says, "feels odd"

Zack takes one of Sephiroth’s hands and examines the stitches

Zack says, "I did a good job"

Sephiroth says, "still wondering how you managed to do this..."

Zack says, "a labor... of love......."

Zack kisses Sephiroth's hand

Sephiroth smiles slightly

Zack says, "Tell me why you are sad?"

Sephiroth says, "sad...?"

Zack says, "Why did you do it?"

Sephiroth says, "you mean.. try and kill myself?"

Zack says, "Yeah... why'd you try and kill yourself?"

Sephiroth says, "I just wanted to..."

Zack says, "That’s no reason to"

Zack lifts up Sephiroth's chin so he can look into his eyes

Sephiroth says, "all this... and I felt as if someone was telling me too but I think that was my inner self..."

Zack says, "do you really wanna die?"

Sephiroth says, "yes..."

Zack says, "You.... wouldn’t wanna stay with me would you?"

Sephiroth looks at Zack

Sephiroth says, "stay with you?"

Zack says, "Yeah.... I would like..... you to be with me... if you wanna that is"

Zack puts his hand on the back of his head

Sephiroth nods

Zack says, "Don’t listen to that voice..... it tells lies"

Sephiroth says, "'alright"

Zack says, "It'll make you hurt and desert the ones who need you most....."

Zack pulls Sephiroth against his chest

Sephiroth sniffles and leans into him

Zack holds Sephiroth close

Zack says, "I love you....."

Sephiroth says, "you do?"

Zack says, "Yes... it may seem early... but I do"

Sephiroth cries a little... his face buried in Zack's chest

Zack says, "Shhhh... I’m here for you"

Sephiroth says, "you are?"

Zack says, "Yes. and I’m never going to leave your side"

Sephiroth sniffles and holds Zack close
