Cloud Strife is curled up in a ball... snoring softly
Sephiroth looks at Cloud. Stands up and walks out of the basement. Gets out of the mansion and looks up at the mountains
Zack watches sephiroth from the shade of a house and wonders where Cloud
Sephiroth starts to head back to the mountains. His long silver hair and black cape flow out behind him as he walks
Zack decides to follow Sephiroth
Sephiroth stops for a second and turns around to face Zack
Zack says, "Yo... where ya going?"
Sephiroth says, "home"
Zack says, "Home?"
Sephiroth says, "yes"
Zack says, "Midgar's that way"
Zack points
Sephiroth shakes his head
Sephiroth says, "that's not where I'm from"
Sephiroth turns back to the path
Zack says, "wait a sec"
Sephiroth starts to walk again
Sephiroth says, "yes?"
Zack says, "What am I supposed to do... take cloud and go back.... Tell them that you decided to go off into the mountains?"
Sephiroth stops and turns back to Zack
Sephiroth says, "true, they'll come back for me... they don't want to lose their precious project..."
Zack says, "Look... remember.... We're pals... you watched my back and I watched yours... don't go turning your back on me now..."
Sephiroth looks at him with green glowing eyes
Zack says, "And what's about a project?"
Sephiroth says, "That's what I am... The culmination of the Jenova project"
Zack says, "I don't get it..."
Sephiroth says, "what is there to get?"
Zack says, "Look if you're gonna go out into the mountains alone I'm coming with you... "
Sephiroth says, "Why?"
Zack says, "Because"
Sephiroth says, "Are you leaving ShinRa?"
Zack says, "hell if you leave I leave"
Sephiroth says, "well, the ShinRa have to pay... for what they've done. You saw the reactor..."
Zack says, "Yeah... I saw"
Sephiroth says, "they finally decided to do that to humans..."
Zack says, "I still can't believe those were humans"
Sephiroth says, "they were"
Zack says, "Freaky... I don't wanna be an employee of somebody who does that"
Sephiroth says, "hmm, maybe you should go wake Cloud... I'll be waiting out here. Good idea. Zack... at least you were willing to work for ShinRa before you found out the truth"
Zack says, "Fine... you better be here... where is the kid"
Sephiroth says, "the basement"
Zack says, "You weren't willing?"
Sephiroth says, "They created me... they... caught me... they dumped me in Mako and flooded me with Jenova..."
Zack says, "Wha? All right... lemme go get the kid. You can explain later..."
Sephiroth nods. Jumps up onto a ledge and waits
Zack goes back into the town and rouses cloud
Zack says, "Hey... squirt... wake up.... We're gonna go with sephiroth"
Cloud Strife says, "Uhnn? Where'd he go?"
Zack picks Cloud up onto his feet and dusts him off
Sephiroth waits for them on his ledge... looking down into the chasm
Zack says, "I'm not sure what's going on... lets go"
Zack Drags Cloud off into the mountains where he left sephiroth
Sephiroth looks down at them
Zack says, "Hey... we're back"
Sephiroth says, "hello"
Sephiroth jumps down from his height and lands in front of them
Cloud Strife blinks at Sephiroth
Cloud Strife says, "Why'd you leave me in the basement?"
Sephiroth says, "sorry for leaving... I just had to come out here... I... remember... everything..."
Cloud Strife says, "remember... what? That lil dragon?"
Sephiroth says, "everything"
Sephiroth turns to look at the path
Sephiroth says, "Most of the Mako mutants swarm the reactor... it's very dangerous"
Sephiroth heads off
Zack says, "Hey wait up"
Sephiroth pauses
Zack says, "You act as if you know this place by heart... slow down"
Sephiroth says, "I do Zack..."
Zack says, "What lil dragon anyway?"
Sephiroth chuckles slightly
Sephiroth says, "never mind that right now Zack"
Sephiroth turns off the path suddenly and streaks off behind some boulders
Cloud Strife looks at Zack... puzzled
Zack shrugs
Zack says, "He's actin weird"
Sephiroth says, "*calls to them* are you two coming?"
Cloud Strife goes past Zack and looks behind the boulder
Zack shrugs and follows cloud
Sephiroth waits for them and then walks off ... away from the reactor and further into the mountains
Cloud Strife wheezes a little
Cloud Strife says, "Where are we going?"
Sephiroth says, "home... well, for me any way"
Cloud Strife says, "Well this would be your home wouldn't it?"
Sephiroth says, "yeah, but... "
Cloud Strife says, "What exactly are Zack and I to do when... you get there? "
Sephiroth says, "think of the mountains like a large city. You'll see Cloud..."
Zack says, "Yo... we gonna get to rest soon?"
Sephiroth stops a second and looks at Zack
Sephiroth says, "tired?"
Zack says, "Not really.... But"
Sephiroth says, "but?"
Zack gestures at the wheezing Cloud
Sephiroth looks at Cloud
Zack says, "He isn't exactly... one of us you know"
Sephiroth says, "are you alright?"
Cloud Strife says, "Fine.... Just the altitude..."
Sephiroth nods
Zack says, "And it seems you aren't one of us either Sephiroth.... Although I still don't get it"
Sephiroth sits down
Sephiroth says, "fine... then ask"
Zack sits down as well
Zack says, "What are you.... Exactly?"
Cloud Strife flops down onto the ground and sprawls out... breathing heavily due to the thin air
Sephiroth says, "the culmination of the Jenova project"
Zack says, "What's that?"
Sephiroth says, "25 years ago... I was captured up in these mountains"
Zack says, "I'm guessing you weren't human then"
Sephiroth looks at Zack
Sephiroth says, "Jenova changed my form to what you see"
Zack says, "So what's your real form?"
Sephiroth says, "..."
Sephiroth sighs
Sephiroth says, "there is something else I ought to tell you... I'm still a child... technically"
Zack says, "A child?"
Sephiroth says, "yeah..."
Cloud Strife curls up in a ball and falls back asleep
Sephiroth says, "hmm"
Zack says, "hmm?"
Sephiroth says, "I hope he's ok"
Zack says, "He'll be okay... I think. We aren't going too much higher are we?"
Sephiroth thinks
Sephiroth says, "not much, why?"
Zack says, "well if he's having trouble breathing now...."
Sephiroth says, "good point"
Sephiroth lifts his head up, hearing something
Zack looks at Sephiroth
Zack says, "something wrong?"
Sephiroth says, "no... I hear..."
Zack says, "hear what?"
Sephiroth says, "ahh yes, you cannot hear that can you?"
Sephiroth says, "it's at the wrong frequency for your ears"
Zack says, "oh... Well what is it?"
Sephiroth says, "music..."
Zack says, "music?"
Sephiroth stands up and picks up Cloud in his arms
Sephiroth starts to walk off
Zack stands and follows Sephiroth
Sephiroth keeps walking till he gets to a set of caves
Zack says, "okay... now what..."
Sephiroth sets Cloud on his feet. Jumps up to a small ledge
Cloud Strife teeters groggily but stays up. Looks up at Sephiroth
Sephiroth looks around the cave, his green eyes glowing
Zack goes over to cloud and puts a hand on his shoulder to steady him
Sephiroth taps his Masamune against the cave wall, making an echoing sound
Cloud Strife says, "Zack what's he doing?"
There is a sound from far back in the cave
Zack says, "dunno"
Something lands in the darkness before them
Sephiroth sits down on the ledge
Zack looks around and pulls cloud close reflexively....
The thing in the dark sniffs at the three intruders
Cloud Strife says, "what was that? I'm... scared... Eeep!"
Sephiroth looks down at Cloud
Sephiroth says, "it's ok... they're more afraid of you..."
Cloud Strife says, "Its big... why would it be afraid of me?"
Sephiroth says, "because... you are something that could hurt them"
Cloud Strife says, "I'm... just a kid... I don't even have my gun anymore"
Sephiroth says, "think about it... they get their young snatched up.... Some killed.... And why not be afraid of the ones who do that?"
Cloud Strife says, "Umm... They aren't gonna get mad an kill us?"
Sephiroth says, "I'll make sure that does not happen"
Zack remains silent... wishing he could prod the nose that keeps poking itself at him in the dark
Zack says, "Would you tell whatever it is to keep its nose to itself?"
Sephiroth says, "hmm?"
Sephiroth jumps down in front of Cloud and Zack
Cloud Strife teeters a little... still wheezing slightly
Sephiroth looks at the creature in the dark. Makes a soft noise that cannot be understood by Cloud or Zack
There is some sort of response from the creature in the dark. It moves back from them
Cloud Strife says, "this is creepy"
Cloud Strife sneezes
Zack lets go of Cloud... realizing he has a death grip on the kid
Sephiroth looks back at the two
Sephiroth says, "what is?"
Zack says, "What is what?"
Sephiroth says, "why are you afraid?"
Zack says, "Because I cant even see what was stuffing its nose in my face..."
Cloud Strife says, "I wouldn't care.... If I could breathe"
Sephiroth chuckles then frowns. Strokes his gloved fingers through Cloud's hair
Sephiroth says, "why can't you breathe?"
Cloud Strife says, "Its just hard... its like there isn't enough air "
Sephiroth says, "hmm, maybe you are very sensitive..."
Zack says, "Well he is just a kid... and a trooper... perhaps we should turn him loose back in Nibelheim again...."
Sephiroth says, "what do you think?"
Cloud Strife says, "I wanna stay with you Seph..."
Sephiroth says, "alright"
Zack says, "He'll get used to it... as long as he doesn't strain himself"
Sephiroth says, "now Zack, why were you afraid of being sniffed?"
Zack says, "Gee lets see... something 10 to 20 times your size is sticking its nose where it doesn't belong... what would you do?"
Sephiroth says, "say hi"
Zack says, "No... Not really"
Sephiroth says, "that's what I would do Zack. You did ask what I would do"
Sephiroth grins
Zack says, "That's you...."
Sephiroth says, "yes, any way..."
Cloud Strife says, "Im sleepy...."
Zack says, "Were you talking to that thing?"
Sephiroth says, "yes... and please don't say thing..."
Zack says, "What is it then?"
Sephiroth folds his arms. Gives Zack this dead cold look
Zack says, "What?"
Cloud Strife plunks to the ground
Sephiroth looks at Cloud, startled
Sephiroth says, "Cloud?"
Sephiroth picks him up in his arms
Cloud Strife says, "Just sleepy..."
Sephiroth says, "hmm, I'll get you to lower ground..."
Sephiroth heads into the darkness
Zack says, "Great leave me in the dark..."
Sephiroth starts walking down large, winding, tunnels
Sephiroth says, "just follow me Zack"
Zack says, "I can't even see you. You got night-vision or something?"
sephiroth says, "yeah... sorry..."
Sephiroth heads back and grabs Zack's hand as he holds Cloud. Walks back down into the tunnels till they are at a more comfortable level for Cloud. Sets Cloud down on a ledge
Cloud Strife yawns
Two of the creatures are now in the same set of caves... sniffing at the three
Cloud Strife reaches out into the dark and touches one of the creatures
Cloud Strife says, "weird..."
Zack fishes around in his pockets and finds a light stick.... Which he immediately snaps... illuminating the area
Zack says, "Whoa..."
Sephiroth smiles softly and sits down with Cloud
Cloud Strife wraps his arms around Sephiroth and blinks ... looking at the two big dragons
Sephiroth smiles again
Sephiroth says, "are you ok Cloud... and Zack?"
Cloud Strife says, "they're big"
Sephiroth says, "yeah"
Zack is speechless... cuz they are big... but look... kinda... well not dangerous....
Zack says, "They're... kinda pretty"
Cloud Strife falls asleep on sephiroth
They sniff at them with interest
Sephiroth puts an arm around Cloud
Zack says, "Well they haven't eaten me"
Sephiroth says, "they don't want to"
Zack says, "no? I'm not a good meal?"
The two dragons are making noses of some sort
Sephiroth chuckles to himself
Zack blinks at Sephiroth
Zack says, "You're one of those?"
Sephiroth chuckles again, and continues to hold Cloud
Sephiroth says, "um Zack.... Heh heh.... "
Cloud Strife is snoring softly... but his breathing still sounds a bit strained
Sephiroth says, "they're ... um... "
Sephiroth turns to look at Cloud, a little concerned
Zack says, "um?"
Sephiroth says, "I think Cloud's not ok..."
Zack looks at Cloud
Zack says, "We should take him back... poor kid... he's gonna miss out on some neat stuff I think"
Sephiroth says, "yes, we'll take him back... then return here"
Sephiroth picks Cloud up in his arms. Makes a noise to the two dragons. Heads back out
Zack says, "He should be okay once we get him to lower altitudes"
Zack follows Sephiroth. Still carrying the glow-stick
Sephiroth walks quickly back to Nibelheim. Heads into the inn. Lays Cloud down on the bed
Sephiroth says, "alright... sleep well"
Cloud Strife seems to be breathing easier now
Sephiroth kisses Cloud's forehead and walks to the innkeeper, telling him to watch over Cloud. Heads back for the mountains with Zack
Zack says, "I hope we'll be able to acclimate him... we can camp him out at a different elevation each week... so he'll get used to it... all at once was too much for him"
Sephiroth quickly walks back to the caves
Zack says, "That is if you even want him along...."
Sephiroth says, "I do"
Sephiroth goes back into the caves ... the two dragons are waiting
Zack says, "There something between you an the kid?"
Sephiroth looks back at Zack
Sephiroth says, "yes..."
Sephiroth looks at the dragons and makes a noise
Zack says, "I figured..."
Sephiroth sits down on a ledge and sighs slightly
Zack says, "You miss him already?"
Sephiroth says, "yes, but that's not the only reason I am sighing"
Zack says, "Why then?"
Sephiroth says, "I need to figure out how to... change form..."
Zack says, "Why?"

Zack says, "You wanna be with them again... I'll watch over the kid for you"
Sephiroth lies down on the ledge
Sephiroth says, "I'm still a child... as I said..."

Sephiroth says, "I may be older then you ... but... I'm still a child"
Zack says, "well how old do you reckon you are?"

Zack nods
Zack says, "So... you're like what... 10... mebbe 11?"
Sephiroth says, "something like that"
Sephiroth sighs again
Sephiroth says, "funny, a few days ago I didn't remember any of this... but, now I remember all of it"
Sephiroth looks at the two dragons that are still watching them
Zack sighs
Zack says, "So I'm up here with you... perhaps I should just go and hide somewhere... what's up here for me?"

Sephiroth sighs again and sniffles
Sephiroth says, "I need to figure out how to change form..."
Zack says, "Nothin probably... I'll go take care of the kid for you... he's gonna want an explanation on why you aren't around anymore. I can't help you there Seph...."
Sephiroth stares up at the two dragons, sniffling again. Really wants to cry

Zack says, "Why are you so sad? "

Zack says, "Are you sad cuz you can't be with them?"
Sephiroth says, "I don't belong any where...."
Zack says, "Or is it... one of those torn between two things you care about situations"

Zack says, "This is your home... then stay"
Sephiroth places his gloved palms to his eyes
Sephiroth says, "I mean, I want to be home... I... want what was done to me reversed..."
Zack says, "Well.... Don't think I can help you there"

Sephiroth makes some sounds to the dragons
They make sounds back

One of the two dragons moves into the deep caves
Sephiroth sits up. Looks at Zack
Zack says, "So... what's up?"
Sephiroth says, "we are getting help"

Zack says, "So they understand?"
Zack says, "So when do we start?"

Tifa Lockheart shrieks and heads towards what she thinks is the way out.... Zack's glow-stick
Sephiroth blinks and looks around
Sephiroth says, "Tifa?"

Tifa Lockheart runs into a dragon's leg and falls flat on her back

Zack walks over as well

Sephiroth says, "they stuck me in Mako... and flooded me with Jenova cells. I was the only one of their specimens who lived through the treatment"
Tifa Lockheart says, "uh huh...."
Sephiroth says, "when it was all over my memory was blocked, and my form had changed to ... well... what you see"
Tifa Lockheart says, "So what are you gonna do now?"
Sephiroth sighs sadly and sits back down
Sephiroth says, "pay back..."
Sephiroth lies back down on the ledge, looking miserable once again

Sephiroth says, "I think he was embarrassed. Zack, please go check on him"
Zack says, "Im gonna go check on him then.... See ya in a few hours or so. He's fine I'm sure"

Sephiroth looks back at Tifa
Zack wanders out onto the mountain trail... towards Nibelheim
Tifa Lockheart says, "embarrassed?"
Tifa Lockheart says, "How could I have missed him... I was with you on the bridge and stuff. He wasn't the one that fell?"
Sephiroth says, "no, I caught him. I couldn't let him plunge to his death"
Tifa Lockheart says, "Oh... that one... "
Tifa Lockheart says, "how come you saved him and not the other?"
Sephiroth says, "I could only save one. I barely managed to save him"
Tifa Lockheart says, "Oh... dumb luck he happened to be closer?"
Sephiroth says, "he actually told me to drop him when he thought my grip was too poor on the cliff side. I told him no and managed to lift him up so he could cling to it himself"
Tifa Lockheart says, "Wow... that was kinda brave of him"

The dragon lays its head down near Tifa and Sephiroth
Sephiroth says, "oh, he didn't do too good with the thin air up here. I took him back and placed him in the inn"
Tifa Lockheart says, "I hike up here all of the time... that's why it doesn't bother me... you seem real worried about him... was he that bad off?"
Sephiroth says, "no... I'm just worried about him"

The dragon snakes out a tongue and lays it on him, licking him softly

The second dragon comes back, making noise at the other one

Sephiroth heads out of the caves
Sephiroth says, "why do you say that Tifa?"
Tifa Lockheart says, "Yeah well we gotta get Zack.... Hey wait up! Shinra... they have all sorts of weapons...."
Sephiroth says, "I know"
Sephiroth says, "I was a weapon too"
Tifa Lockheart says, "Do your people know how to use magics?"
Sephiroth says, "they stay away from Mako... those that get tainted are the monsters close to the reactor"
Sephiroth sighs and inclines his head down as he walks
Tifa Lockheart says, "Any of your family get... tainted?"
Sephiroth says, "that's what they think... I am in some ways. No... just me... and... No one likes the tainted ones. That's why all this is so hard on me..."
Tifa Lockheart says, "So... they wouldn't... fully welcome you back?"
Sephiroth says, "I don't know... I'm so different to them"
Tifa Lockheart says, "But you're their child... should it matter?"
Sephiroth says, "not as much to my parents... but to the others. They wouldn't even come near..."
Tifa Lockheart says, "Ahh... but they will help?"
Sephiroth says, "yes... they hate the ShinRa... especially after hearing what they did. They are afraid for their own children... afraid ShinRa will come for them too"
Tifa Lockheart says, "Oh. I can see the lights of Nibelheim from here.... Pretty"
Sephiroth says, "the rest see me as dead... or just tainted..."
Tifa Lockheart says, "You're not gonna be accepted anywhere are you?"
Sephiroth says, "no... "
Sephiroth closes his eyes, wanting to cry again
Tifa Lockheart says, "Well what about Cloud?"
Sephiroth says, "I know, I've got him but..."
Tifa Lockheart says, "It's not enough.... Not what you really want? Or need...."
Sephiroth says, "I love him... I know I do but..."
Sephiroth stops, striking his Masamune into the ground and leaning on it
Tifa Lockheart says, "You need your family more"
Sephiroth says, "yes. ShinRa stripped my life away from me. I didn't notice when I didn't remember..."
Tifa Lockheart says, "Start a new one... or at least try to... don't give in"
Sephiroth says, "how?"
Tifa Lockheart says, "I lost my mom a few years ago.... And I had a tough time..."
Sephiroth says, "Tifa... this is different"
Tifa Lockheart says, "I know... but at least you can visit"
Sephiroth says, "she's dead... it's easier to accept the dead... then it is for this. My parents thought I was dead... now... they are having a hard time with this"
Tifa Lockheart folds her arms across her chest and begins to walk towards Nibelheim again
Sephiroth picks his Masamune back up and quickly follows. Enters the town. Walks into the inn. Finds out Zack and Cloud have been taken and storms out again
Sephiroth says, "grrrrr..."
Tifa Lockheart says, "What's wrong?"
Sephiroth says, "ShinRa... came... took them!"
Tifa Lockheart says, "Took them? Why?"
Sephiroth slashes at the air with his Masamune
Sephiroth says, "no idea..."
Tifa Lockheart says, "Well they're employees.... Aren't they?"
Sephiroth says, "yeah... but they left with me"
Tifa Lockheart says, "Well... where do you think they took em?"
Sephiroth says, "no idea"
Tifa Lockheart frowns
