Cloud Strife says, "Are you talking to me?"

Rufus Shinra says, "yes. You look hungry"

Cloud Strife says, "Well I guess I look right then"

Rufus Shinra says, "how would you like some food?"

Cloud Strife says, "What do I gotta do to get it?"

Rufus Shinra says, "nothing... I like to find poor people and get them food... it's just my way"

Cloud Strife looks at the man standing over him

Cloud Strife says, "Nice people don't exist...... they're extinct..... "

Rufus Shinra says, "really? sounds like you've had a rough life kid"

Cloud Strife says, "My town was destroyed by ShinRa troops so I came here to find a job... but I am unskilled... and so I live on the streets"

Rufus Shinra says, "well, I could always use more people to work for me"

Cloud Strife says, "Please don't be kidding me.... you got my hopes up now"

Rufus Shinra says, "I'm not kidding"

Cloud Strife smiles vaguely

Cloud Strife says, "Is there a possibility of clean clothes and a shower?"

Cloud Strife stands up from where he was sitting

Rufus Shinra starts to walk, but waits for Cloud

Cloud Strife looks around. feels his mouth begin to water

Rufus Shinra says, "go right ahead... you can eat it"

Cloud Strife says, "Oh wow.... you mean it?"

Rufus Shinra points him off to the dining area... the table is laid out with food

Cloud Strife sits down and begins to eat... but takes it easy... knowing too much food after not having eaten for a while... will get one sick

Rufus Shinra watches him, flicking the hair out of his eyes

Cloud Strife says, "Aren't you gonna have any?"

Rufus Shinra says, "no... I'm not hungry"

Cloud Strife says, "Okay"

Cloud Strife finishes eating after a while and smiles

Cloud Strife says, "It was very good... thank you much"

Rufus Shinra says, "you are most welcome. you wanted a shower?"

Cloud Strife nods eagerly

Rufus Shinra leads him to a some what large room where there is a bathroom with a shower attached

Cloud Strife says, "Oh wow.... this is nice... "

Rufus Shinra says, "make yourself comfortable"

Rufus Shinra walks out of the room

Cloud Strife closes the door.... and goes into the bathroom to get a shower. strips down and scrubs himself for nearly an hour...

Rufus Shinra takes off his clothing... reveling that he has tentacles and such all over his torso

Rufus Shinra says, "ahh, I feel better... I hate clothing"

Rufus Shinra hangs the clothing up

Cloud Strife dries himself off and looks in the mirror

Rufus Shinra watches through his hidden camera... seeing Cloud

Cloud Strife has cleaned up to be a very respectable looking young man

Rufus Shinra admires Cloud as food... knowing it will still take days to make him into a good meal

Cloud Strife frowns at his clothing.... and wraps a towel around himself instead

Rufus Shinra climbs up the wall and falls asleep

Cloud Strife Wakes up the next morning... and after rummaging around in the closets... finds a pair of respectable clothing. goes over to the door and turns the door knob

Cloud Strife says, "What the? Its locked......."

Rufus Shinra wakes up, hearing Cloud awake

Cloud Strife sits down on the bed... puzzled

Rufus Shinra climbs down off the wall

Cloud Strife says, "I guess Im just locked in... I'll wait for Rufus to show"

Rufus Shinra climbs up the wall by Cloud's door and hangs down... looking through the small window

Cloud Strife swings his legs back and forth... humming softly to himself. happens to look at the door and sees Rufus' face in the window... cocks his head to the side and blinks

Cloud Strife says, "Why..... are you upside down?"

Rufus Shinra climbs back up, above the door

Cloud Strife says, "Mebbe Im hallucinating.... from eating too much rich food...."

Rufus Shinra jumps down off the wall and gets food for Cloud. opens up the slot in the wall and pushes it through so the food is now on a tray on Cloud's floor

Cloud Strife says, "Hey.... umm...."

Cloud Strife picks up the tray

Rufus Shinra climbs back up the wall, peering in at Cloud... upside down again

Cloud Strife frowns and sets the tray down on the table

Cloud Strife says, "Am I a prisoner?"

Rufus Shinra blinks slowly then climbs back up. some of his tentacles dangle down... banging the window

Cloud Strife says, "Oh my... Are those yours?"

Rufus Shinra climbs to the ceiling... not replying to Cloud's question

Cloud Strife says, "Well.. I guess its better than dying cold an alone on the street... At least somebody has a use for me"

Rufus Shinra climbs back close to the door

Cloud Strife says, "An I'll get to see my mom again... Yeah.. Im upset that I gotta die... and not be able to avenge my town... but I wasn't getting anywhere anyway"

Rufus Shinra sighs as he hears Cloud's words... feeling a little sorry for the kid

Rufus Shinra says, "I don't even know if I have or had a mom..."

Cloud Strife says, "Really? Did you have a dad?"

Rufus Shinra says, "just an adopted one I don't like"

Cloud Strife says, "Oh.... I never knew my dad. I like to think my dad... was somebody important... a hero or something... More than likely he was a nothin.. though"

Rufus Shinra sighs again... and promises himself that he'll take on the discomfort of putting the kid to sleep when eats him

Cloud Strife says, "You wanna talk? Or you got better things to do?"

Rufus Shinra says, "what is there to talk about?"

Cloud Strife says, "Dunno.. wanna tell me bout yourself? Like what are you an stuff?"

Rufus Shinra says, "I don't know what I am, just that I need to eat humans... alive..."

Cloud Strife says, "Oh.. think its gonna hurt?"

Rufus Shinra says, "well... I'll sedate you.. I tend not to do that cause it makes me tired after I eat"

Rufus Shinra wonders what the kid feels about that

Cloud Strife says, "Well.. that's nice of you.. to make it painless for me... specially if its gonna put you outta sorts. I would tell you my name.. but I don't think you wanna name your dinners... you might get too attached to them"

Rufus Shinra says, "for now, please eat..."

Cloud Strife says, "Sure thing.... you cook pretty good..... did you cook this?"

Rufus Shinra says, "yes"

Cloud Strife says, "Its real good... I'm sure you keep your meals relatively happy. Too much stress tends to make meat stringy...."

Rufus Shinra says, "yes... considering it's not hard to find people who feel depressed and hopeless in the slums... well, the stringy part doesn't matter for me... I don't eat that way"

Cloud Strife says, "Oh... what do you eat?"

Rufus Shinra says, "every part... I just don't eat the way you do"

Cloud Strife says, "Oh... Like a spider then? You dissolve the insides and suck em out?"

Rufus Shinra says, "well.. sort of"

Cloud Strife says, "That's kinda neat"

Rufus Shinra chuckles

Rufus Shinra says, "you think so?"

Cloud Strife says, "I was real into biology and stuff when I was little... mom wanted me to grow up and be a great scientist. Kinda fell through when the ShinRa ripped through our town...... don't even know why....."

Rufus Shinra says, "The ShinRa do a whole lot of stuff without reason..."

Cloud Strife says, "Don't let me depress you or anything though"

Cloud Strife finishes off his meal

Cloud Strife says, "Okay... can I make some requests? "

Cloud Strife says, "Can I get some alcohol? any kind will do.... Im not gonna get stoned.... just like it...."

Cloud Strife says, "some fresh fruit if you have any.... I haven't had an apple.. since....."

Cloud Strife says, "I'm easy to please.... "

Rufus Shinra says, "alright... I'll find you some"

Cloud Strife says, "An mebbe you can get me a book or something to read while I pass the time...."

Cloud Strife says, "Mebbe.... when I die... I'll get to meet my dad... Sure.. It doesn't matter... I love to read"

Rufus Shinra jumps down from the ceiling and goes off to look for Cloud's requests. comes back and slides them through the slot... giving Cloud several books, two apples, and a bottle of Sake

Cloud Strife says, "Thanks"

Cloud Strife picks them up and sets them on the table... then rubs an apple absentmindedly against his shirt

Cloud Strife says, "Where'd ya have to go to get these?"

Cloud Strife picks up a book and flips through it.... crunching on an apple

Rufus Shinra says, "not too far... I can get fresh fruit when ever I want... and those books I found at the library"

Cloud Strife says, "This ones interesting..... "

Cloud Strife reads... finishing off one of his apples... but saving the last till later

Rufus Shinra wakes up and makes Cloud some food then slips the tray through the slot

Cloud Strife pinches the skin on his forearm... noting that he no longer looks like a walking stick. yawns and stretches out on the bed

Cloud Strife says, "Well... I guess I just gotta wait... I'm dinner soon...."

Rufus Shinra has gotten rather hungry by this point. walks over to the door

Cloud Strife hears Rufus at the door and sits up

Rufus Shinra starts to attach the mouthed tentacles to different parts of Cloud's body... but sighs

Cloud Strife closes his eyes and trembles slightly...

Rufus Shinra sighs again and releases him

Cloud Strife looks at Rufus

Cloud Strife says, "not hungry?"

Rufus Shinra says, "no, I am hungry.. it's just... I don't think I have the heart to eat you any more"

Rufus Shinra says, "I'm not sure... I just can't bring myself to harm you in any way. even though I might starve"

Cloud Strife says, "If you're gonna starve... eat me.... geez.. I don't care if you eat me... I got nothin to live for anyway"

Rufus Shinra says, "what do I have to live for? If that books right, there are no others like me left..."

Cloud Strife says, "Have you ever looked? It says they are extinct... yet you are alive..... "

Rufus Shinra says, "yeah... but I think I was created... or maybe brought back by the ShinRa"

Cloud Strife says, "Oh....."

Cloud Strife sits down on the bed

Cloud Strife says, "Tell me... am I that pathetic that you don't want to eat me?"

Cloud Strife says, "Oh.... well... you now.... this is the nicest time I've had since... I lost it all... food... shelter.. someone to talk to"

Cloud Strife says, "You aren't a bad guy at all"

Cloud Strife says, "I say.... that you make sure you're done living... before you make any decisions.... you never know.. there may be others left..."

Rufus Shinra puts an arm around Cloud

Rufus Shinra says, "I just said I don't think I can eat you cause I I've grown attached to you. well... I could always pick off a rich guy... or some other guy who's well fed but happens to live in the slums"

Cloud Strife says, "Oh... well why don't you?"

Rufus Shinra says, "harder to get... but I'll go do that... please stay here"

Cloud Strife says, "I wont go anywhere"

Rufus Shinra says, "ok"

Rufus Shinra leaves the room unlocked... and is gone for several hours. comes back.... and Cloud hears vague screams of some person trying to struggle.. and in great pain

Cloud Strife says, "He must really like me... he offered to put me to sleep.. so I wouldn't have pain like that"

Rufus Shinra comes back to Cloud after a few more hours

Cloud Strife looks at Rufus

Rufus Shinra sits back down on the bed

Cloud Strife says, "If you're lonely.... I can stay and keep you company"

Cloud Strife says, "Yeah.. I have no where to go...."

Cloud Strife says, "But I've overcome most of it. You aren't that bad looking... you pass easily for a human. You're smarter than us"
