Scarlett says, "The top two floors are gone... nothing but rubble"

Scarlett nods. Flops down in a chair, looking upset

Reeve says, "Scarlett... what caused the weapons to go maverick?"

Scarlett says, "No idea Reeve... I'm not an expert on weapons I don't make myself"

Scarlett looks at Cloud

Reeve says, "it smells like burnt rubber down here..."

Cloud Strife says, "I have to stop sephiroth... but do I have the heart?"

Scarlett says, "It's so sad... all of this happening... I mean... none of us got to know him too well cause he was missing for the last 5 years.... Not even his father knew what happened to him..."

Cloud Strife says, "Missing for 5 years?"

Cloud Strife says, "You guys are gonna rebuild and get the world back in order after this... its gonna need it"

Scarlett nods

Cloud Strife shakes his head sadly

Hojo walks in, having heard some of the conversation

Hojo says, "easy to explain actually..."

Cloud Strife says, "you..."

Hojo says, "You see... the power of Jenova is to alter ones form, voice, even the words... It was something that took me a while to understand"

Cloud Strife blinks

Cloud Strife says, "So I am right?"

Hojo puts his hand to his chin and chuckles

Scarlett looks at Hojo

Scarlett says, "well... what did you see in Nibelheim?"

Scarlett nods slowly

Sephiroth looks to be asleep, his arms folded over his chest. He clutches the Masamune in one hand

Cloud Strife walks into the core and looks at Sephiroth

Cloud Strife shakes his head sadly... wondering what to do. Moves in closer and examines him. Reaches out... and strokes his fingers along Sephiroth's cheek

Sephiroth looks at Cloud, his Mako green eyes piercing into him

Cloud Strife says, "Yes..."

Cloud Strife says, "I must have looked like a real idiot... when I told Rufus how I wanted to come on to Sephiroth... when you were him all the time"

Sephiroth says, "Not an idiot... just got me thinking"

Cloud Strife hangs his head

Cloud Strife says, "I don't... have to kill you do I?"

Sephiroth says, "Why do you ask that?"

Cloud Strife says, "I said I was going to stop you"

Sephiroth says, "I am aware of that"

Cloud Strife says, "how do I stop you.... I can't just reason... can I?"

Sephiroth swings his Masamune a few times

Sephiroth says, "Do you want to know why I'm doing this?"

Cloud Strife says, "Yes"

Sephiroth says, "Mother came to me while I was reading in the library and told me what ShinRa was doing to the planet... and how overpopulated it was... and how it was dying..."

Cloud Strife nods

Cloud Strife says, "So you're going to kill everything?"

Sephiroth says, "She called to me... to get her out of the reactor... so I did... killing anyone in my way. I didn't start the fire though... I'm not sure how that happened"

Cloud Strife nods

Sephiroth says, "Kill and start anew... more life springs from the cleansing ashes then from depleted soil"

Cloud Strife sighs softly

Sephiroth says, "the soil is depleted... all will die soon... and no life will come after that any way... but with Meteor... life will begin again"

Cloud Strife says, "I can't stop you... I don't have the heart to kill you.... Too much heart... actually"

Sephiroth says, "As in anything, not every last thing will die either... just all in Midgar and the area around for certain..."

Cloud Strife nods

Cloud Strife says, "And after that?"

Sephiroth says, "The people on the farthest distance from that might have a chance to live... and help to start life anew..."

Cloud Strife says, "And me?"

Sephiroth says, "You are down here... protected..."

Sephiroth closes his eyes and changes to his other form

Rufus Shinra opens his eyes again; his clothing and weapon changed to the Shotgun and white suit with black shirt

Cloud Strife smiles faintly

Rufus Shinra places his hand on Cloud's shoulder

Cloud Strife says, "I was... quite upset when I thought you had... died"

Rufus Shinra says, "I nearly did.... Diamond weapon blasted me full on... I was very hurt... but mother pulled me back and brought me here to be safe"

Rufus Shinra looks into Cloud's eyes

Cloud Strife looks back... and appears to be mildly confused... and frightened

Rufus Shinra says, "why are you scared?"

Cloud Strife says, "Not totally scared... just... well... you aren't a total normal person anymore... but it doesn't change my feelings"

Rufus Shinra nods

Rufus Shinra says, "That's good"

Cloud Strife says, "You care about me... and I love you... I can't expect you to love me... "

Rufus Shinra smiles warmly

Cloud Strife says, "I suppose we wait here until it is safe"

Cloud Strife says, "Long enough that I wont live to see it?"

Rufus Shinra says, "I suppose. And I am merging with the planet when it happens too... will you merge with me as well?"

Cloud Strife says, "Should I go? "

Rufus Shinra says, "go?"

Cloud Strife says, "Oh I don't know..."

Cloud Strife shakes his head

Cloud Strife says, "I am highly confused... that's all"

Rufus Shinra kisses him softly

Cloud Strife says, "but I want to be with you. I know that"

Rufus Shinra says, "Yes... anything else you wish to know?"

Cloud Strife smiles and gets comfortable

Cloud Strife says, "The whole Sephiroth thing...."

Rufus Shinra says, "It's ok..."

Cloud Strife yawns

Cloud Strife says, "took a lot to get down here"

Rufus Shinra says, "Then sleep my dear Cloud..."
