Cloud Strife plunks Reno into a boat.. and sits down in it... hotwiring it easily

Cloud Strife puts the boat into full throttle... and swerves a little to miss being shot at .... then sets course for the other side of the sea

Cloud Strife walks out of the tent and tries to figure out which way Rufus has gone

Tifa Lockheart says, "I've been Cloud watching for a good deal of my life. I know what he's up to... by watching his body language...."

Reno says, "Tifa, where are we going??"

Reno does not let go of his vile. gets off Tifa's back

Reno says, "is it? he did not say he was leaving is what I meant ...."

Tifa Lockheart slowly writes "he is angry... let him cool down.... will be back... I know Cloud...."

Reno raps his arms around his legs. holds onto the vile as he leans his head on his knees

Cloud Strife hacks a few things into Tiny bits... letting his anger dissipate.... then stands there blinking ... only about a mile away from where Reno and the others are

Reno says, "I'm so alone in this dark, soundless, pit"

Reno rocks himself

Tifa Lockheart frowns

Reno says, "If only I had gone to sleep on the boat .. instead of just passing out ..."

Cloud Strife re-sheathes his sword and heads towards the others... sensing Reno easily

Tifa Lockheart says, "He's really upset. Cloud didn't abandon him.... "

Scarlett says, "I noticed Reno's upset"

Reno stops rocking after a while

Cloud Strife stalks quietly behind the others..... and listens to their conversation... keeping silent so they don't notice him

Reno falls asleep, the vile still clutched tightly in his hands

Cloud Strife frowns as he notices Reno holding his vial.. but remains silent

Reno is still breathing

Scarlett says, "Tifa, did you hear what he said?"

Tifa Lockheart says, "Yeah... he said perhaps it would have been better if he hadn't woken up... Cloud can be such a bastard sometimes....."

Reno dreams about dying

Tifa Lockheart says, "Like I said.. he isn't patient... I'm surprised he has stuck with it this long...."

Reno mutters in his sleep ...

Cloud Strife speaks up

Cloud Strife says, "I have to learn.... for him....."

Reno says, "darkness everywhere ...."

Cloud Strife kneels beside Reno, and picks him up gently, prying the vial from his fingers as he does so

Reno is still asleep. his fingers are like a vice almost

Cloud Strife says, "You're right Tifa.... I am a bastard..... "

Reno says, "peaceful ..."

Cloud Strife says, "I shouldn't even have Reno... he should be safe and drunk in some bar... he should have just let me drink myself to oblivion....."

Reno continues to talk in his sleep

Scarlett says, "Safe? I doubt that .. he'd be killed with the others Rufus is killing"

Reno rolls into Cloud as he is held

Reno says, "sleep .... never waking ..."

Cloud Strife says, "Reno wake up please"

Cloud Strife shakes him gently

Reno is still asleep

Reno only took a little .. if he'd drunken the vial he'd be dead on the ground right now

Scarlett says, "how much did he use?"

Cloud Strife says, "Stupid damned Turk!!! This is all my fault. It was full when he first showed it to me... I shoulda taken it away then....."

Scarlett says, "how much is left?"

Cloud Strife says, "He just took a little"

Scarlett says, "hmm, I think I heard about this ... the Turks could use a little of the poison to knock someone out for a good while .. but it would kill them without the antidote ... it would just take longer"

Reno continues to mutter in his sleep

Cloud Strife says, "Perhaps I should just slit his throat..... and let him go..... then finish all this"

Cloud Strife clenches his fists

Cloud Strife says, "He doesn't want to wake up... listen to him. I abandoned him... again..."

Tifa Lockheart shrugs

Cloud Strife lays Reno back on the ground.... and howls in rage

Scarlett says, "*looks back at Cloud* I think he wants to sleep because he thought you were not going to come back ..."

Reno breathes quietly

Cloud Strife says, "Let him sleep... I'll only disappoint him again....."

Cloud Strife says, "I've never been anything more than a failure and a disappointment......."

Scarlett says, "I think he took only the little knowing that if you want him to live, you'll save him .. and if not .. you'll just let him sleep"

Cloud Strife drops the vial to the ground and crushes it under his boot

Cloud Strife says, "Who do I save first.... the people of this world... or the man I love?"

Scarlett says, "Cloud, you can't save the world alone ..."

Cloud Strife says, "And who will help me. I've caused enough misery for you all"

Cloud Strife picks up Reno

Scarlett says, "Rufus is nearby .... I'd say"

Reno is picked up, lays, still dreaming, in Cloud's arms

Cloud Strife says, "What do I do? He is close..... very.... but... this may take a while.. he moves quickly....."

Scarlett says, "but he's got an Army with him"

Cloud Strife says, "One more setback. Who do I save first... him or the world?"

Scarlett says, "Cloud, do you really think you'll live if you go up against Rufus?"

Cloud Strife says, "Who else is going to challenge him?"

Scarlett says, "but, do you think there is any chance you will live?"

Cloud Strife says, "I have to. He will die for the crimes he has committed against humanity..... and against myself.... and Reno....."
