Cloud Strife goes into the building and finds the elevators dead... so he has to climb the stairs... prying open the doors that aren't left open from fleeing employees. Finds his way to the top... and looks at the blackened mess. Finds his way to where Rufus' office would have been. Remembers the somewhat pleasant times he had with Rufus here... and sighs

Cloud Strife removes Rufus' jacket and shirt... what's left of them. Takes off his shirt and washes it in the stream... then uses it to clean some of Rufus' wounds

Rufus Shinra is still alive though. Looks almost dead though... sections of his skin chard and other parts broken and gouged

Cloud Strife gently begins to work the bits of visible shrapnel out of Rufus' chest and abdomen
