Rufus Safer: Hi everyone! After reading so many funny author comments before stories I thought I should do some of my own, maybe it will help me with my writers block ^_^
Zelgadis: comes out with a sign I was busy, why do I have to carry this thing?
Rufus Safer: Cause I told you too. Smiles at the cute little sign.
Zelgadis: grumbles at the sign that reads ‘this way to Mazoku play land’ I don’t like it... I want to be back in bed with Tasuki…
Xellos: Don’t you want to play with us Zel?
Zelgadis: AH! Not with you Xellos.
Xellos: ^_^ I got Lina to play with on loan from Ace Dragon anyway….
Rufus Safer: Anyway, on to the fic… then I’ll let you go back to bed Zel…
Zelgadis: Better….
It was time, at last… my master had finally told me to bring them. So long have I waited, following them… using them to get to someone else… and now I am to bring them. They don’t trust me of course, and why should they? No one should ever fully trust a Mazoku. Ever…
“Why are we here?” Lina asked me.
“Sore Wa Himitsu Desu.” I smile and she growls.
“Should have known…. You and your secretes Xel….”
My master’s chamber was just up ahead of us, and I could smell the smoke of her cigarettes. “Soon some will be revealed. Now, we’re here.”
I heard Amelia gasp. “W-wa… what are we... doing here?”
I bowed before my master, smiling as always, having done my job.
“Welcome.” My master tells them, “I have been keeping tabs on you four for some time now, thanks to my general and priest here.” I smiled more as she mentioned me.
“What do you want from us beastmaster?” Lina growled… she looked ready for a fight, and I can’t blame her.
“Want?” My master stood, “Why, I want you to join us.”
“WHAT??” Lina shrieked.
I heard Amelia faint, but sadly Zelgadis caught her before she was able to hit the floor. Gourry just looked confused as ever, not seeming to understand.
“Yes…” My master went on, “To join and become my servants. You’re all very powerful, you’d make wonderful additions to my ranks…”
Lina stood there, her jaw open. “I kill Mazoku like you and you…. Want me... to serve???” She seemed in shock.
“They were rivals and enemies in a way… Besides, you’ve gotten along fine with my favorite servant Xellos.”
I smiled more again.
“Besides,” My master said, “I know you like power… and what I offer is a chance to have more… more power.”
Lina’s jaw closed and I saw her grin.
“Don’t…” I heard Amelia utter… she was coming around, “They’re evil, don’t do it!”
“Amelia….” Lina groaned.
I knew what had to be done of course, and appeared by Zelgadis, patting Amelia’s head. “Poor little justice freak.” I smiled.
Amelia shuttered and squirmed, getting to her feet and trying to avoid my touch. I could see Lina frown, as if she knew what was about to happen too. I wondered if it would affect her choice, but as she turned her head away and nodded to my master I knew better. I could always count on Lina for being attracted to more power, no mater what the cost.
“I love power… I’ll… join.” Lina said, stepping toward my master as I grabbed Amelia’s arm.
“NO!” Amelia screamed, “Lina! Don’t!!”
Even Zelgadis turned his head, his eyes on my master. “If, I join, will… I be able to make... myself look… human again?” He asked.
“But of course!” I smiled at him as my master nodded. “You can make yourself look like anything you want.”
“Breasts!” Lina cheered, looking at herself, “I can finely have breasts!”
I grinned at her. “As big as you want Lina…”
She rubbed her hands together.
Amelia was still yelling and Gourry still looked confused. My master approached Zelgadis and Lina, pulling out a special dagger.
“Kneel down and die to be reborn…” She spoke, and both did as they were told.
Amelia’s screams of horror grew louder as my master plunged her dagger first into Lina, then Zelgadis… killing them both…. Then placed her hands on them, turning them into one of us.
Gourry’s jaw hung loose. “L.. Lina?” He asked.
“WAAH!!!” Amelia cried.
After a few minutes of twisting in the agony of being reborn Lina pulled herself to her feet. She smiled at me, and I saw the slits in her crimson eyes, making me smile back even more. Zelgadis turned slowly to a more human look, but for his eyes of course, as he stood and flexed himself.
“Amazing…” Lina muttered, and she went over to Gourry. “You going to join us?”
I watched, still holding Amelia’s arm. Gourry seemed to be muttering the whole idea over in his mind, as if not sure what to say.
“What about it?” Lina asked again, stroking a hand over his cheek.
“I…” Gourry muttered, “I… I will follow you. Tag along, as I always do.”
Good old Gourry, never wanting to be alone. Well, he won’t know… my master changed him as she did the others. Amelia had turned into a crying lump now so I let go. She wasn’t mine to deal with anyway.
My master shook her head. “My new servants… it seems there is a slight problem here for you to deal with already….”
Lina grinned, and I could feel that she was already in love with her new self. “I’ll deal with this, for the fun of it… master.”
I sat back and watched as Lina wrenched Amelia up by her arm. It was a beautiful site… the justice girl’s blood spraying all over, the sounds of her screaming… the feel of her utter pain inside and out. Lina was a master already, and enjoying herself…. Enjoying the pure thrill of the kill.
When it was over Gourry and Zelgadis were ordered to clean up the mess by my approving master and I went over to talk to Lina.
“Good work…” I whispered in her ear.
“So, this is the secrete you’ve been keeping…” She grinned at me.
“Well, one of them.”
I was a little surprised but glad when she threw her arms around my neck. “Mmm… I want to hear them all. Can we?”
I raise an eyebrow. “Can we wha?”
“Go talk about this somewhere… else…”
I grinned. “Sure Lina…” And together we walked out of my master’s chambers.
Zelgadis: This was a short fic…
Rufus Safer: What can I say, writers block is bad!
Xellos: At least it was told by me and I get Lina at the end.
Zelgadis: I’m going to bed now… Walks off, dropping his
sign.
Xellos: Ah well. I’d better run, I see Filia coming with her mace.
Rufus Safer: Heh heh.
