#Show me the meaning of being lonely

[Lina and Gourry sitting in the corner smiling at eachother. Ameria and an unknown blonde man are whispering softly about justice, stars in thier eyes. Zelgadis sits alone in the shadows, unnoticed.]

#So many words for the broken heart

#It's hard to see in a crimson love

#So hard to breathe

#Walk with me, and maybe

[Tears well up in Zelgadis's eyes. Flashbacks fade into one another, all of them about Xelloss.]

#Nights of light so soon become

#Wild and free I could feel the sun

#Your every wish will be done

#They tell me...

[Zelgadis is having a dream. Xelloss is speaking softly, eyes open, holding him by the arms, and leans in. As Xelloss's face is a few inches away from his, Zelgadis wakes up to see a tall shadow above his bed. He blinks to find it gone. Zelgadis looks disappointed.]

#Is this the feeling I need to walk with

[The next morning. Ameria is talking excitedly, something about a wedding. Zelgadis is nodding, sad. Lina and Gourry are looking symathetic and whispering.]

#Tell me why I can't be there where you are

#There's something missing in my heart

[Zelgadis walking alone, transparent images of Xellos over his face. Xelloss sticking out his tongue. Xellos winking. Zelgadis hitting Xelloss...Zelgadis shakes his head and starts running.]

#Life goes on as it never ends

#Eyes of stone observe the trends

#They never say forever gaze upon me.

[Flashback]

[Zelgadis camping out, alone, out for another cure. He is holding the clasp from his cloak in his hand, rubbing it with his thumb. The camera pans out to reveal Xelloss sitting in the tree above him, eyes open.]

#Guilty roads to an endless love

#There's no control

#Are you with me now

#Your every wish will be done

[Zelgadis staring at the fire, sitting on the ground. Xelloss taps his shoulder. He spins around angrily. Xelloss grips his shoulders, saying something to him.]

#They tell me...

[Zelgadis stares at Xelloss in shock. His eyes glitter with tears, and he looks confused.]

#Is this the feeling I can't decide

#Tell me why I can't be there where you are

#There's something missing in my heart

[Zelgadis looks as if he's about to say something. Xelloss leans in and kisses him softly. Zelgadis gazes up at him in amazement.]

#There's nowhere to run

#I have no place to go

[Zelgadis and Xelloss standing side by side, telling something to the group. The groups looks shocked. Babbling ensues. Ameria is facing down Lina and Gourry with a justice speech about true love. Xelloss just stands there with his arm around Zelgadis's shoulder, smiling.]

#Surrender my heart body and soul

#How can it be you're asking me to feel the things you never show

[Zelgadis and Xelloss sitting together on a porch swing at an inn, Zelgadis with his head on Xelloss's shoulder.]

#You are missing in my heart

#Tell me why I can't be there where you are

[Zelgadis and Xelloss surrounded by mazoku. One of them lunges for Zelgadis with a glowing knife. Xelloss dives in front of him, getting impaled with the knife. Zelgadis manages to cast a Ra-tilt and kneels with Xelloss laying across his lap.]

#Show me the meaning of being lonely

#Is this the feeling I can't decide

[Black blood drips from Xelloss's mouth. A tear falls onto his face. The mazoku whispers something and closes his eyes. The camera zooms away to show tears running down Zelgadis's face.]

#Tell me why I can't be there where you are.

#There's something missing in my heart.

[End Flashback.]

[Zelgadis puts a hand to his forehead and slouches forward, shoulders trembling.]
