Zack strokes his fingers along Rufus' cheek.

Rufus Shinra cuddles into Zack.

Zack says, "wake up love... "

Zack tickles Rufus.

Rufus Shinra opens his eyes and smiles.

Rufus Shinra says, "Yes love?"

Zack says, "New day... rise and shine bright eyes."

Rufus Shinra says, "I suppose I have to go to work soon before 'father' yells."

Rufus Shinra sits up and stretches, running his fingers down Zack's cheek.

Zack sighs.

Rufus Shinra says, "Something wrong dear?"

Zack says, "I miss you while you’re at all those meetings."

Rufus Shinra says, "how much?"

Rufus Shinra smiles and leans close to him.

Zack says, "A lot."

Rufus Shinra kisses the tip of his nose.

Rufus Shinra says, "but doesn't the waiting make the time after so much better?"

Zack says, "Yes... it does."

Rufus Shinra strokes his fingers down Zack's face.

Zack purrs softly.

Rufus Shinra nuzzles at his neck and gets off the bed, brushing his pouch with his tail.

Rufus Shinra says, "Did you sleep well?"

Zack says, "Of course."

Rufus Shinra says, "no bad dreams?"

Zack says, "Nope... I sleep real good with you next to me."

Rufus Shinra says, "I know, but I woke up at one point and saw you upset in a dream."

Zack says, "Nothing I remember."

Rufus Shinra kisses Zack gently but with a loving passion.

Rufus Shinra says, "alright then."

Rufus Shinra leans his head on Zack's shoulder.

Rufus Shinra says, "I really don't want to leave."

Zack says, "Go on.... get before your dad flips out."

Rufus Shinra says, "True... It would be worse if he found out what we are though."

Zack says, "He'd tie your tail in a knot."

Rufus Shinra says, "ouch... that would hurt."

Rufus Shinra goes to get dressed.

Rufus Shinra says, "What would you do if we were found out?"

Zack says, "Get you outta here... go hide someplace.... like a nice warm island with palms and a city not too far away."

Rufus Shinra says, "hmm... would be nice. Still, ever wonder what people would do?"

Zack says, "Destroy us..."

Rufus Shinra sighs.

Rufus Shinra says, "I don't like the sound of that word."

Rufus Shinra runs his fingers through his hair after putting on his jacket.

Zack says, "Some day... I’m gonna walk up to your dad and tell him what a nice tight ass his son has..."

Rufus Shinra shoots Zack a glance.

Zack says, "So he can have me thrown in prison or something... I think it would be amusing to see his reaction."

Zack says, "I'll make sure I’m good and drunk."

Rufus Shinra says, "I’ll be home later... you have exercises to do, right? Formation and stuff?"

Zack says, "bleah... yeah."

Rufus Shinra kisses him deeply and heads out the door.

Rufus Shinra comes home his normal 15 hours later.

Zack is passed out already... still damp from his shower.

Rufus Shinra wakes him up.

Zack smiles.

Zack says, "Morning."

Rufus Shinra says, "it's not morning, it's evening."

Rufus Shinra kisses him softly as he takes off his jacket.

Zack says, "Oh.... "

Rufus Shinra says, "You ok love?"

Zack says, "Yeah..."

Zack stretches.

Rufus Shinra puts a hand to Zack's cheek.

Zack says, "Harassed some soldiers.... yelled at some soldiers... tried to.... ahem... Nevermind."

Rufus Shinra says, "ahem? Heh, tell me."

Zack says, "Oh nothing... one of them mouthed off at me and told me to lick his balls… So I stripped him right there... but he ran away."

Rufus Shinra laughs.

Zack says, "I took him literally."

Rufus Shinra says, "Did you cross paths with Sephiroth?"

Zack says, "He's been off somewhere... special training or something."

Rufus Shinra says, "Yes. I heard he picked up some trooper. Did you hear about that one?"

Zack says, "Some scrawny little blonde who never talks."

Rufus Shinra says, "Might just be Sephiroth's style."

Zack says, "Well... to each his own."

Rufus Shinra nuzzles his neck.

Rufus Shinra says, "yes."

Zack says, "I got some scrawny blonde who talks too much."

Zack says, "Yeah but you loaf all day... and I work out... you’re still stronger."

Rufus Shinra says, "Maybe I'm just strong."

Zack says, "Oooh... papers are sooo heavy."

Rufus Shinra laughs.

Rufus Shinra says, "I'm always working my arms love."

Zack says, "I cant lift... this paper... its... got ink on it and Oooh... so heavy."

Rufus Shinra says, "not lifting, writing."

Rufus Shinra tussles Zack's hair.

Zack says, "Those pens are heavy too you know."

Zack purrs softly and pinches Rufus' cheeks.

Zack says, "How loud was he today?"

Rufus Shinra places his hand to Zack's throat gently, his thumb resting on top of the windpipe.

Zack whimpers.

Rufus Shinra says, "Now, what's wrong?"

Zack says, "This was a nice dream... "

Rufus Shinra strokes his thumb up and down the windpipe... his left eye no longer there.

Zack says, "no... upset."

Rufus Shinra says, "about?"

Rufus Shinra moves his other hand up to Zack's wing... stroking down it gently but with the touch that so often leads to pain.

Zack says, "You can’t even let me dream happy anymore."

Rufus Shinra says, "You are so foolish to be wasting your life in a dream."

Rufus Shinra presses his fingers into the wing.

Zack says, "Its all I have left..."

Rufus Shinra says, "of?"

Zack says, "my happiness"

Rufus Shinra says, "Why were you happy here?"

Rufus Shinra brings his knee up and rests it on Zack's pouch.

Zack says, "Because you loved me."

Rufus Shinra leans down into his face, his one eye piercing him.

Rufus Shinra says, "and you know that for sure?"

Zack says, "You had to have."

Rufus Shinra says, "or?"

Zack says, "You wouldn’t have acted that way."

Zack shivers.

Rufus Shinra presses his fingers down on Zack's wing.

Rufus Shinra says, "What way was that?"

Zack says, "Please stop... you loved me.... you did...."

Rufus Shinra says, "how do you know that Zack?"

Zack says, "You loved me.... "

Zack starts to tremble.

Rufus Shinra says, "You have been in denial about everything, haven’t you? Took me to hurt your precious Squall for you to kill me."

Zack says, "No... you did... before..."

Rufus Shinra says, "You keep saying that but tell me nothing."

Rufus Shinra scraps his fingers sharply up Zack's wing, grinning.

Zack shivers again.

Rufus Shinra says, "Tell me what you know then Zack."

Zack says, "You cant tell me that... all that time we spent together... meant nothing."

Rufus Shinra says, "Perhaps at the time it did."

Rufus Shinra takes the tip of Zack's wing and bends it slowly.

Zack grimaces.

Rufus Shinra says, "now what do you have to say?"

Zack says, "Please.. stop Rufus... beloved.... I gave my life to you."

Rufus Shinra says, "you took my life... you killed me."

Zack says, "Because you were going to hurt my child."

Rufus Shinra kneels on Zack's pouch, removing his hand from the wing, but not the throat.

Zack says, "He was the last child I was ever going to have..."

Rufus Shinra says, "and yet you brought harm to him?"

Zack says, "how so?"

Rufus Shinra says, "You threatened to kill Seifer."

Zack says, "Seifer.... he isn’t my child"

Rufus Shinra says, "but he is mine."

Zack says, "I was going to kill him because you were hurting Squall."

Rufus Shinra laughs.

Rufus Shinra says, "that would have hurt Squall more then you can know."

Zack says, "How so?"

Rufus Shinra waves his hand and shows Zack the scene going on in the garden... sleeping Seifer cuddled in Squall's arms... Squall looking somewhat happy for once.

Rufus Shinra says, "He would never have gotten to see his child."

Zack says, "leave me alone... leave me at peace."

Rufus Shinra says, "in your falsities?"

Zack says, "Just leave me alone.. "

Rufus Shinra waves his hand again to make the scene vanish.

Rufus Shinra says, "to what Zack?"

Zack says, "You ruin my life.. what else is there for me but to dream of when I was happy."

Zack says, "yes. I was happy with you."

Rufus Shinra takes his hand away from Zack's neck and laughs loud.

Zack says, "You’re dead."

Zack grabs the end of Rufus' tail and bends it.

Zack knees Rufus in the pouch.

Rufus Shinra growls and lets go of the wings.

Rufus Shinra laughs and slashes his claws at Zack's chest again.

Zack elbows Rufus in the chest then sweeps his legs.

Rufus Shinra smashes to the ground, landing on his wings and growling.

Zack does an elbow slam down into Rufus... then wraps his fingers around his neck.

Zack says, "If I gotta be in pain... so do you."

Rufus Shinra growls and thrashes, kicking up at Zack.

Rufus Shinra says, "I've been in pain!"

Zack holds tight, growling as well.

Rufus Shinra can't make any sounds as his windpipe is closed.

Zack says, "Too bad I can’t kill your ass again."

Rufus Shinra brings his knee up into Zack's pouch as he thrashes.

Unknown chuckles from where he is sitting on the bed. Has black wings and a tail, looking sort of cat-like and is about human-sized.

Zack growls and lashes his tail.

Rufus Shinra grabs the tail and bights it.

Zack says, "Oww... prick."

Zack backs off.

Unknown shakes his head, still chuckling.

Rufus Shinra hisses at Zack.

Unknown sways his long black tail as he sits on the bed, watching with glowing blue eyes.

Zack says, "What the hell?"

Unknown cocks his head, looking at Zack, his tail swaying.

Rufus Shinra scratches across Zack's face again.

Zack backs away again.

Unknown moves across the bed on all fours and settles down on the pillows, scratching his claws on the wood.

Rufus Shinra stands on his feet and looks down at Zack.

Zack says, "Mother of mercy... what is going on here?"

Unknown says, "What do you mean?"

Unknown studies Zack with his glowing blue eyes.

Zack pulls his wings around himself.

Rufus Shinra laughs and advances.

Unknown says, "I don't think so."

Unknown waves a paw and causes him to get trapped behind a barrier.

Rufus Shinra taps the barrier and frowns.

Unknown scratches at the wood again.

Zack says, "This is too much... I want to wake up."

Unknown says, "I'll try, but right now you're in a coma Zack."

Zack says, "You'd send me back?"

Unknown walks across the bed on all fours and sits down before Zack, dangling his legs over the side of the bed.

Unknown says, "yes."

Unknown folds his wings and sways his tail.

Zack says, "Because you like to torment me."

Unknown curls up at the end of the bed and rolls onto his wings. Looks at the trapped one and wears a paw.

Unknown says, "you over there need to look more like you should."

Rufus Shinra growls, then notices he looks full human and gets really mad.

Zack says, "What is going on?"

Unknown says, "not much, just something."

Unknown gives a strange grin.

Zack says, "Don’t speak in riddles."

Unknown tickles Zack with his tail.

Zack steps back... confused.

Unknown says, "What do you know of Jenova?"

Unknown is watching Zack upside down.

Zack says, "Not much."

Unknown says, "2,000 years ago her ship crashed into this planet."

Unknown says, "She was badly hurt so she put herself in a stasis bubble. about 50 years ago she was discovered by some ShinRa scientists."

Unknown says, "Professor Gast and Professor Hojo... they took cell samples and decided to make hybrids."

Rufus Shinra paces back and forth, wishing he still had a tail and wings.

Zack says, "Okay... I’m following."
