Val poked boredly at the controls.... finding his smuggling run to be way too uneventful for his tastes. Flea sat in the chair next to him, reading over scrolling text on his screen.

"This is way too.... boring...” Val muttered, “its going too smoothly..."

"Don't worry love, something will happen soon." Flea smiled at him.

"We dont really want something to happen... but it would make it more... exiting..."

Flea grinned and reached his hand out to run a finger down Val's ear. "I can make it more exiting."

Val got a slow smile. "now... now Flea..... just in case something happens....."

Flea got up from his chair and slid himself into Val's lap. "Like what?"

"One of that one eyed bastard's scouts might pick us off" Val says and slipped his arms around Flea's lithe form.

"Mmm... I can get to the guns from here if they do..." Flea kissed Val's lips softly.

"Or we can just leave the Guns to Baby... its almost his shift...."

"Mmm.. yeah. Can we go back to the room now?"

Val lovingly traced Flea's cheek with a finger "Yeah... when we dock ... we can go out for some exotic dishes... how bout that?"

"I'd love it..." Flea gazed lovingly into Val's eyes.

Val stood, picking Flea into his arms as he did, then headed for thier quarters, hammering on Baby's door as he passed.

Flea grins, slinging his arms around Val's neck.

"Lets hope he doesnt try to eat Cloud again..." Val chuckled and closed the door to thier quarters.

"Where is Cloud anyway?" Flea smiled, peppering Val's face and neck with kisses.

“Prolly fiddling with the engines again...”

"I hope he doesn't blow us up..."

"Nah...”

In the engine room Feena was yelling at Cloud for moving her laundry line, seeing how she had put it down there to dry her stuff.

"It was gonna clog the intakes!" Cloud insisted, "Bad enoguh I gotta clean kzin fur outta em ..."

"No it wasn't!" Feena yelled, curling her whip in her hands. "Now you got them all dirty again. That Kzin ain't my problem."

"Go hang your laundry in the airlock.."

"It will not dry there. The engines are warm, that's why I hang them here."

"No Seriously... go in the airlock" Cloud said, quite seriously.

Feena cracked her whip. "Ooohh.. I hate you!" She gathered up her laundry and started out of the engine room.

"I'll show you dry laundry..... " cloud muttered "I'll space your ass" Cloud grumbled and went back to puttering with the engine.

"Pika?" Came a small voice and suddenly something covered with soot fell onto Cloud's head from a shaft above.

“Damned thing!” Cloud grabbed it and winged it at the wall.

The pikachu squeeled and bounced off the wall, soot going everywhere. "PIKA!" It yelled at him.

"then stop bothering me...."

It sat on the floor, cleaning the soot off itself, seeming to ignore Cloud now.

"I just wish the captain and his girlfriend would listen to me when I tell them this thing isnt gonna last......"

The pikachu looked up at him and wiggled its nose. "Chu?"

"Go chu in the airlock"

It padded over and leapt up on his shoulder, then licked his cheek.

"Get off!! I’m gonna feed you to Baby!"

"Pika? Pika?" It looked at him with cute eyes.

"He hasnt had fresh meat in a while......"

The pikachu leapt off his shoulder and went back to grooming.

"Stupid thing.. " Cloud mutters and goes back to working on the engine

The pikachu stayed quiet and just seemed to watch him, wiggling its nose from time to time.

“I shoulda taken up that offer... as a spy....."

"Pika?"

"Good thing you cant talk huh?"

"Chu?" It stared up at him, blinking.

"Or I'd have to kill you" Cloud threatend it with his lazer wrench.

"Chu!!" It scampered off at the site.

Meanwhile Feena got up to the bridge where Baby was. The kzin was pickin his teeth, feet up on the controls and leaning back in his chair.

"Any change Baby?" Feena asked, sitting in her chair.

"No... just space......"

"That's good. Cloud's been a hassle again..."

"Oh? Shall I eat him?"

"Nah, that would make Val mad."

Baby growled ever so slightly and stared at the stars whizzing by the viewscreen. "He keeps us so bored.... why cant we have any action like the other factions of the resistance?"

"Yah... I wish you could eat him... or maybe that Pikachu will zap him to dust..." Feena shrugged.

"Maybe we can arrange something when we get to port"

"Yeah, like tie him up and get the captain to leave without him."

"Or eat him... lots can happen at a seedy place like the one we are going to....."

"Where are we going this time?"

"B'ross.... mostly aliens... but supposedly a part of the resistance...."

"Ah. Well, maybe we'll find someone to take Cloud's place."

Baby nodded and keyed something into the touch pad... careful with his claws.

Feena leaned back. "How long till we dock?"

"about an hour or so.... plenty of time for the captain to finish his.... hrrrr.... business

"Oh, so that's where they are, huh?"

"We should get rid of that female of his as well.... it distracts him too much"

"I think Flea's a male... cause Flea freaks when ever you call.. it.. a she."

"Hrrr.... it still distracts him...."

"Yeah. What does Flea do on this ship other then that any way?"

"I believe thats why we are stuck on smuggling and not doing fighting. He wants to keep it safe...."

Feena sighed. "Fighting, smuggling, both are fine to me."

"Its boring for a warrior to sit and do this...."

"Yeah... I'm an adventurer myself..."

"Plus I desire a female..... cant prove myself in boring things like this"

"Yeah.. and there aren't any more of your race on board."

"That is obvious" he said and waggled his ears.

"Yeah, I suppose so..." Feena sighed and tapped idley at her control board.

"Time enough for a nap... provided nothing happens...”

"ok."

Flea snuggled dreaminly against Val's warm chest.

"Have a good time?" val asked jokingly as he smoothed flea's hair.

Flea purred. "Always darling... you always make me feel wonderful."

"When all of this is over....we're going to find a planetoid and settle down.... sound good?"

Flea nodded and turned his face to Val's, smiling. Val kissed him and sighed.

"Something wrong dear?" Flea asked as Val sighed.

"Morale seems to be.... lacking on this ship"

"We'll have to do something about that then."

"Give them some leave while at the station..... how about staying for a week? Its no resort.... but perhaps they can loosen up a bit..."

"Yeah. That will probably work." Flea smiled.

"And we can have some private time together..... " Val thinks for a moment "Go clothes shopping?"

Flea's smile widdened. "YaH!! Think they have anything cute?"

"Well probably nothing human... but we can see... the more skin that shows on you the better" val said with a chuckle.

Flea giggled and sat up. "I'm just showing skin now."

"Nothing but......... hmm you know a tail hole would make for easy acess....” Val laughed.

Flea giggled. "What about for you?"

“Hmmm”

Flea licked his chin.

"Now now.... we're going to be docking soon…”

"We should get dressed and go back to the bridge then."

"Yes... but not before I get a few more kisses in"

Flea grinned. "But we can kiss in clothing."

"Not where I want to kiss" Val grinned and kissed Flea.

Flea grins. "And where might that be?"

"Mmm I better not......" Val said, and stroked a finger up Flea's thigh.

"Why not darling?" Flea purred.

"Because.... we will be docking soon..... " Val said.... having felt the afterburners going as the ship approached station.

"Mmm.. alright, we'll save it for later." Flea stood up and started to get dressed.

Val stood and caressed Flea as he dressed, then he went about getting his own things on. Flea's smile stays huge, enjoying all the attention Val gave him.

"want me to rebraid your hair real quick?"

"Thanks, I'd like that." Flea smiled and pulled his pink hair back.

Val braided Flea's hair... sneaking a kiss in on his neck as he does.

Flea put his hand into Val's once he was done. "Let's get back."

Val nodded and strolled with Flea towards the bridge. Feena yawned and saluted when she saw Val enter. Baby was dead asleep. Flea walked over and poked the Kzin in the ribs. Val sighed. Baby opened his eyes and bared his teeth... until he realized where he was.

"Come on," Flea told him, "We're about to dock."

Baby sat up and tabbed in the docking procedures. Cloud wandered onto the bridge looking angry as usual. Feena got up from her chair as soon as they had docked.

"alright guys.... I know things have been tough" val told them.... "So you have a week's leave"

Feena cheered. "Thanks Captain!"

<Zidane> Cloud looked angry for a moment....then stalked off of the ship muttering to himself. The pikachu wandered after Cloud. Feena got into the bar and sat down. Baby went off and prowled, searching for what he's after. A figure came walking towards Val after he got off the ship. Val was too busy thinking about whether he could afford a shopping trip with Flea.

"Hey smuggler," The figure said, "You owe us money if you want to be docked here."

"Hmm... well... I dont think so... this is a free port"

"Not where I'm consernied pal. I take a 20% fee from any illegle busness going down or I report it. Which do you prefure?"

"report me....." Val said with a shrug. "The Merchandise will be gone before anyone shows up... and my manifests show I was shipping thalian plums..."

The man chuckled and stroked his fingers through his blonde hair. "You really want that? I can make sure you get caught."

Val fingered his weapon. "Depends on whether you survive long enough to squeal"

The man snapped his fingers and two other people came up behind Val. "I'll live long enough..." He assured Val.

"Three on one isnt fair...."

"I know it isn't... now hand over the persentage."

"I dont have any cash on me...."

"You don't have any? Then what are you doing here?"

Val looks around for a moment "standing"

"This port..."

"docking?"

"Either I get it from your pocket or that of your crew."

"Ahh why dont you talk to Shipmate Baby then... he's about 7'1 ... orange fur.. nice smile.."

"The Kzinti? Heh.. very funny. No."

Val sighed. "well... I dont know what to tell you..." he said and thumbed a button on his comm.

The rather large person standing behind Va grabs his arm before he can finish. Val grunted and growled slightly.

"Can't let you do that." The blond told him. "Now pay us..."

"Bite me human...”

"that will not get me any money but seeing you beat up will provide some entertainment." the blond pointed behind Val and the other two started pouding on him.

Val snarled and tried to fight back... which is difficult. The blond laughs as his friends beat the crap out of Val and leave him there bleeding as they walk off to the bar. Val groaned softly... wishing he had just handed over the cash.

Feena was at the bar drinking and leaning her elbows on it. Squall walked into the bar and plunked down in one of the booths. Feena turned in her chair and looked at him. She smiled a little before turning back to her drink. Squall blissfully ignores feena and ordered himself a meal... hoping its not moving when it gets to his table. That's when the blonde and his two goons showed up and started stealing food off of other people's plates.

~great.... just what I needed~ squall thought to himself.

Feena tried her best to ignore them as she continued to drink. Squall played with the salt, pepper and orange stuff shakers that where on his table... amazed how the alien market adapted to these spices. As Squall's food headed for his table the blonde made his way to him. Squall sighed... sensing what was coming.... and sprinkled a bit of pepper into his hand.

The blond stopped at his table and folded his arms. "Well, hello again... Been a while since I've seen you."

"To what occasion do I owe your presence to?"

Without asking the blonde slid in across from him. "Just you... been a while... Let's see if you owe me anything."

Squall looked at him. "For what?"

"Not sure.... I think you just owe me dinner."

"Fine.... fine... As long as you dont expect anything else of me."

He grinned. "If you say so Squall..."

"Well go ahead and order.... or do you want this?" Squall gestured at the plate before him

"I'll take that." The blonde dragged it over to him. "You can have some too..."

"go ahead.... eat what you want...."

The blonde started shoving food in his mouth, eating rappidly.

"dont choke on anything" Squall said sarcastically.... although glad he was getting out relatively unscathed.

"this is good... I don't plan to choke."

Squall nodded and played with the salt shaker again.

"Try some..." The blonde told him.

Squall reached across with his fork cautiously.

The blond put the plate out before him.

Squall ate some of the stuff on the plate.... finding it not bad.

"What do you think now?" The blonde asked him.

"Its pretty good..."

The blonde grinned and seemed to have more then just food on his mind.

"Well if you'll excuse me…” Squall said, “I'll have to get back to my work"

"And what might that be?"

"I fix little things... comm units... weapons"

"You got time..." The blonde stood up.

"Not really.. I have a big repair job... freighter just came in.”

"The smuggler ship?"

"That’s what it is? Some kid with pointy blonde hair asked me to help with a microconverter on his engine array.."

"Yes... and the captain wouldn't pay up... pointy?"

"Spiky blonde hair... its kind of funny"

"Hmm... You still got time."

"Really I dont..." squall said.. trying to get himself away.

The blonde clamped his hand around Squall's arm. Squall brought up his hand.. which still contained the pepper he put there earlier... and blew it into Seifer's face.

~oh please let that work...~ Squall thought.

Seifer growled and pulled back, wiping at his eyes. "Damn it..."

Squall bolted once his arm was free. Seifer growled and waited for his eyes to stop stining. Cloud wandered into the bar.. stepping aside to let the man rush by him.

"Least he could have done was given us leave at a proper port....." Cloud grunted.

The pikachu followed Cloud, nibbling on little crumbs.

“Damned thing leave me alone!! " Cloud shouted at it... sitting down at the bar.

Feena giggled. "Sephy still following you around everywhere?"

"Yes.. would you pleeease.... pleeeeeeease kill it?"

"Kill him? Nah, he's cute!"

The pikachu jumped up on the bar and started to growl, looking over Cloud's shoulder.

<Zidane> "I hate him!! I hate his little ears... I hate his little face.... I hate his little paws.... and I just..... hate him!!! What the hell is your problem?

"A Draz?" Feena asked.

"Just what we need."

The pikachu hopped up on Cloud's shoulder, still growling.

"damnit get offa me!!" Cloud yelped.

It started to charge, still growling. Cloud took it off of his shoulder and dropped it on the floor. The pikachu continued to growl. That’s when Cloud dumped his glass of beer on the Pikachu. Seifer finnaly got the pepper out of his eyes and looked up as the pikachu squeeled.

"stupid thing" Cloud muttered

Seifer looked right at Cloud. "You that engeneer?"

"Im an engineer..... dunno what you mean by "that engineer"

"The smuggler... you guys owe me money."

"Talk to my captain then.... unless you want payment in electric rats"

"I hate Electric rats... and I already did.. he wasn't gonna pay so I beat the crap out of him."

"well its not like I have money..."

"Smugglers have to pay to dock here.":

"I dont have any money...":

Seifer got right up to him and blinked a second. "What's your name?"

"Cloud...:

"Fine... I'll find someone with money." Seifer turned and headed out.

Cloud sighed and went back to his drinking.... marveling at how that man looked like his love.

<Sanosuke> Feena looked at Cloud. "You ok?"

"Yeah I’m fine”

"You sure? That was strange."

The pikachu settled down and hopped up onto Cloud's lap. Cloud shrugged. The pikachu curled up and fell asleep.

"Sephy seems to be settled.. you think the guy was a Draz?" Feena asked.

"Yah he was"

"Oh, you seen him before?"

"Mm... not really..... but he looked like a Draz I knew..."

"You knew a Draz?" Feena's eyes went wide.

"Yeah.... " Cloud said.... not really realizing what he said due to his sorrow. The pikachu looked up at him, wagging its tail. "Just a.. you know traitor to them... "

"Oh.. Those are rare... Rare for them to still be alive."

"Yeah... he ... well he's not around anymore...."

"Ah." Feena finished her drink. "Shall we go check on the captain?"

Cloud nodded. Feena stood up. Cloud stood as well... hoping the rat would stay asleep. The pikachu, however, climbed up to his shoulder as Cloud moved. He grimaced.

"Okay.... where to?" Cloud asked.

"We have to find the captain."

"Where do we look?"

"A corridor."

"Oh?"

"I'd say we start looking there."

"Why? Whats he doin in a corridor?"

Cloud crossed his eyes for a moment. "oh... should I get a medikit?"

"I don't know... he just might be in one." Feena headed out. "Yeah, get one."

Cloud grabbed the Bar's kit from a panel in the wall and followed Feena..... ignoring the bartender.

<Sanosuke> Feena looked around till she found Val on the floor,.

<Zidane> "Ooh is he dead?"

<Sanosuke> "No..." Feena helped the captain up.

<Zidane> "damn"

<Zidane> Val groans

<Sanosuke> "Captain? You ok?" Feena asked.

<Zidane> "fuckers" val mutters, and puts his hand to his head... wincing

<Sanosuke> "What did the Draz do to you?"

<Zidane> "His goons kicked the crap outta me

<Sanosuke> "We should have stopped him at the door..."

<Zidane> "Get me back to the ship... so I can fix myself before.... Flea sees...."

<Sanosuke> The pikachu jumps down onto Val's stomach.

<Sanosuke> Feena nodded. "Alright. Where is Flea anyway?"

<Zidane> "Dont know.... safe I hope....." Val groans at the pikachu

<Sanosuke> The pikachu licks Val's chin, purring.

<Zidane> "Ohh get off....." Val grumbles

<Sanosuke> "Pika?" It chirrs.

<Zidane> "C'mon Sephy Im too sore to play.."

<Sanosuke> The pikachu leaped off him and blinked a while.

<Zidane> "thanks..."

<Sanosuke> Feena helped Val up and guided him for the ship.

<Zidane> "Man... they got me good... " Val grumbles

<Sanosuke> "What did they do?"

<Zidane> "Beat the crud outta me.... while that asshold watched "

<Sanosuke> "I'm sorry Captain."

<Zidane> "Its okay.. nothing you guys could have done anway..."

<Sanosuke> "If you say so."

<Zidane> "I just wanna curl up and take a rest...."

<Sanosuke> "Alright. Shall we go back to our leave?"

<Zidane> "Go head... yo guys have fun.... if you see Flea send him back to the ship.”

<Sanosuke> "We will."

<Zidane> Val staggers his way back towards the ship.... hoping the medikit there has some painkillers

<Sanosuke> Meanwhile Seifer was laying down in his room.

<Zidane> Val pops some meds and curls up in his bed.... wishing flea were there for him.... but not minding the space

<Sanosuke> Feena headed for the bar.

<Zidane> Cloud decides to track Seifer down... and ask him about rufus

<Sanosuke> Seifer was laying in his room on the station with his goons standing at the door.

<Zidane> Cloud recognized them.

<Sanosuke> The turned to look at Cloud and kept their post at the door.

<Zidane> "Can I speak to your friend?"

<Sanosuke> The smaller of the two went into the room then came out, stepping to the side to let Cloud through.

<Zidane> Cloud walks into the room warily... lest there be a trap

<Sanosuke> Seifer sat up on his bed and gave a sideways grin to Cloud.

<Zidane> "Dont smile like that.... I want to ask questions about Rufus"

<Sanosuke> "What do you want to know?"

<Zidane> "How is he?"

<Sanosuke> "Still searching for... it."

<Zidane> "Guess that means he hasnt found his key..."

<Sanosuke> "Yeah.. and he's been slaughtering a lot of your race."

<Zidane> Cloud frowns

<Zidane> "He's not going to find it that way..."

<Sanosuke> "True... but like i care? I never have... He wouldn't hurt you though..."

<Zidane> "Im still afraid of him... and his rages..." Cloud says... sighing

<Sanosuke> "I don't remember him ever taking it out on you."

<Zidane> "He never did... but.. I was still frightened..... Now Im stuck with a bunch of loser smugglers......"

<Sanosuke> "Why not go back to him? I owe them anyway since they didn't pay my fee."

<Zidane> Cloud frowns.... thinking "I... suppose it would be nice to get out of there”

<Sanosuke> "They would all get tortured and killed horribly of course..."

<Zidane> "Thats a little brash dont you think?"

<Sanosuke> Seifer shrugged. "HE's in a bad mood... he will not cool off till he finds it."

<Zidane> "He should be more careful... rumor has it that the key is a person... not an object...:

<Sanosuke> "He knows that..."

<Zidane> "Well if he keeps slaughtering...."

<Sanosuke> "I once heard him say if he doesn't find the key but wipes out the human race it's the same effect. Well, witht eh exception of those like you... who sell out your own kind."

<Zidane> "I would sell out anyone for him...."

<Sanosuke> Seifer grinned. "Shall I pass this onto him?"

<Zidane> "yes if you like"

<Sanosuke> "Good... I'll tell him to come here then.. he'll be so pleased. Last I looked he missed you."

<Zidane> Cloud smiles "I hope he isnt angry with me...."

<Sanosuke> "Nah, he's not made... he'll be happy to see you..."

<Zidane> "I wonder if I should get some nicer clothes ..... " cloud says and picks at his engineer's overalls “Not that with him I spend much time in them.."

<Sanosuke> "Might be good... go get some while I call him." Seifer headed for his com station.

<Zidane> Cloud smiles and practically bounces out of the room

<Sanosuke> Seifer called Rufus and then went back out, searching for Squall.

<Zidane> Squall is in his shop tinkering with a damaged holo unit someone asked him to fix

<Sanosuke> Seifer walked in, shutting the door. "Thought I'd find you here Squall."

<Zidane> Squall looks up and sets down his microlaser "You again?"

<Sanosuke> "Yeah, me." Seifer walked over to him and touched his ear lightly.

<Zidane> "C'mon... Im pretty sure Ive said no before...."

<Sanosuke> "I know.. but maybe you'll say yes some time..."

<Zidane> Squall sighs "Im a bit busy right now... maybe if you came back later...."

<Sanosuke> Seifer stroked his finger around Squall's ear. "There might not be a later..."

<Zidane> "What does that mean?"

<Sanosuke> "Guess who's headed for this outpost?"

<Zidane> "No clue..."

<Sanosuke> Seifer grinned. "Let's just say that one ship is definatly in for it."

<Zidane> "Ohh? Then why does it ... have anything to do with me?"

<Sanosuke> "He wasn't in a good mood I heard... he might decide to wipe out everything on this outpost you know."

<Zidane> "And saying yes..... would buy me protection?"

<Sanosuke> "Either that or a great last fling..."

<Zidane> Squall looks at Seifer appraisingly

<Sanosuke> Seifer grinned, leaning on the bench and flashing his green eyes.

<Zidane> "Hmm...."

<Sanosuke> Seifer didn't look all that bad either.

<Zidane> "I would really like to get my work done....."

<Sanosuke> "Come on... you can finish it later..."

<Zidane> Squall picks up his microlaser and looks at Seifer "Youre just trying to get laid..."

<Sanosuke> "Of course." Seifer grinned.

<Zidane> Squall shakes his head and goes back to repairing the unit

<Sanosuke> Seifer sighed and leaned on the bench. "How come you always say no?"

<Zidane> "I'd like to keep my virtue"

<Sanosuke> "For?"

<Zidane> "Who knows"

<Sanosuke> "why not for me?"

<Zidane> Squall sets the laser aside and flips on a small electrical magnetiser... to fix the maglocks on the holo device

<Sanosuke> Seifer stepped back some and folded his arms.

<Zidane> "Because.... you'd screw me then walk away... Im not blind...."

<Sanosuke> "How do you know that?"

<Zidane> "I see the way you act.... "

<Sanosuke> "So I bully people... I also keep crime down."

<Zidane> "I dont trust you... you have to prove to me......" Squall says... pointing the magnetiser at Seifer

<Sanosuke> Seifer took another step back. "Oh, I see... to get laid I have to be trusted first?"

<Zidane> "put your hand out"

<Sanosuke> "No thanks."

<Zidane> "fine then...” Squall smiles and goes back to poking at the holo

<Sanosuke> Seifer kept his arms folded. "What are you fixing anyway?"

<Zidane> "Something my father left me... I can never get it to work though..."

<Sanosuke> "Ah. Know what it is?"

<Zidane> "no clue... figured I'd fix it and sell it"

<Sanosuke> "Sell it.. making money is what we both do best, eh?"

<Zidane> "Yeah... for me its a matter of survival though.” Squall sets the emitter down and looks at Seifer

<Sanosuke> "Survival?" Seifer leaned his back against the wall.

<Zidane> "Its tough being the only human on the station" Squall says quietly

<Sanosuke> ~Bleh... he had to taunt me with that thing... he knows~. Seifer jus kept quiet.

<Zidane> "I thought the Draz hated humans.... " he continues "but you keep coming on to me...

<Sanosuke> "...... Well, if our leader could take a human lover why not me?"

<Zidane> "It just seems odd"

<Sanosuke> "Yeah well... I suppose it is."

<Zidane> Squall chuckles and turns his magnetiser off. “Well Im closing up for the night... you can see yourself out "

<Sanosuke> "I still want you... And I didn't lie, he is coming..."

<Zidane> Squall shrugged. "what have I to live for?"

<Sanosuke> "I want you..."

<Zidane> He stands and heads into the back room, which serves as his home.... and closes the door

<Sanosuke> Seifer knocked on the door to Squall's room very soon after.

<Zidane> "Come in..." Squall says with a sigh... sitting down on his bed

<Sanosuke> Seifer walked in, closing the door behind him.

<Zidane> "well?"

<Sanosuke> "I still want you."

<Zidane> "Then take me....."

<Sanosuke> Seifer grinned, moving over to the bed and sitting down next to Squall.

<Zidane> "Promise not to hurt?"

<Sanosuke> "I swear."

<Zidane> "Alright.... then"

<Zidane> "Hopefully not kill him.... though they might .... what kind of info can you get from an animal?"

<Sanosuke> The Draz loaded the ball into a machine where it was flaring even more brightly.

<Sanosuke> Meanwhile, there was a chittering above Baby's cell.

<Zidane> Baby growls and paces in his cell.... not hearing anything

<Sanosuke> There was a slight crackle of electric wires as they were chewed through.

<Zidane> Baby flattens his ears against his head... wondering what the Draz are going to do to him

<Sanosuke> The small black thing on top of the cell chittered to get his attention.

<Zidane> Baby growls and looks up. "A snack?"

<Sanosuke> It chittered angerly at him and bit through another cable, releasing the door.,

<Zidane> "A helpful snack at that....." Baby purrs and steps out of the cell he was in cautiously

<Sanosuke> The food was very strange, some of it more blue in color then anything else, and some things that still seemed to be moving in the bowl as Seifer sat down.

<Zidane> "Im not gonna ask what yours is..." Squall says and starts on what seifer gave him

<Sanosuke> Seifer grinned and put the stuff in his mouth even as it wiggled.

<Zidane> Cloud walks into the room and expertly plucks some food from the cubicles

<Sanosuke> "Ah.. Cloud, things all better?" Seifer asked him, finishing some mroe of his food with only a few of the moving things mixed in with the rest in his bowl.

<Zidane> "Yes... its so nice to be with him again..." Cloud says dreamily and settles down to eat

<Zidane> "So who's your friend here? Rufus would like to scan him... as a possible key..."

<Zidane> "Would you mind... brining your friend by Rufus' quarters after your meal?"

<Zidane> "Come now... you think Rufus is going to harm him?"

<Sanosuke> "He'd never harm you Cloud.. I'm not so sure about Squall."

<Zidane> "I will make him promise not to hurt Squall..."

<Sanosuke> Seifer leaned against Squall as he regarded Cloud.

<Sanosuke> "Captain!" Feena yelled, "What are you doing??"

<Zidane> "Killing a little worm:

<Sanosuke> "Worm? turn it off!!!"

<Sanosuke> Flea pulled on Val's arm, trying to turn him so he could see the sad look on his face.

<Zidane> "Too bad they didnt make noises when I was little... would have been more fun...."

<Sanosuke> Feena slapped Val and rushed to the controls, trying to shut off the stream.

<Zidane> Val puts his hand to his face.... confused by the slap

<Sanosuke> Feena shut off the field and Seifer collapsed to the ground, still glowing bright blue.

<Zidane> "Seifer!!" Squall yells and rushes to his side

<Sanosuke> Seifer was breathing raggidly, out cold as he lay on the floor, and still glowing. There was a crackle of energy around him and Squall's hair stood up from it.

<Zidane> "He's... all fizzly..." Squall whimpers... unable to touch him

<Sanosuke> Feena looked at Baby and narrowed her eyes.

<Zidane> Val slinks off the bridge

<Sanosuke> Seifer groaned softly, most of the pain subsiding now.

<Sanosuke> Flea followed Val.

<Zidane> "Seifer.. can you hear me?"

<Sanosuke> /Squall? / Came the reply in Squall's head.

<Zidane> Val leans his head on the wall, confused

<Zidane> "Seifer?"

<Sanosuke> / I hurt bad... why did those fools do that to me?/

<Zidane> "Why... can I hear you... in my head?"

<Sanosuke> Flea slid his arms around Val.

<Sanosuke> / In your head love? I'm.. not awake?/

<Zidane> "No... youre... not... Seifer...."

<Sanosuke> /Oh... everything hurts... and I see blue light everywhere.../

<Zidane> "Shh... you'll be okay...."

<Sanosuke> / Oh good.. I'm not dead... right?/

<Zidane> "I... dont know"

<Sanosuke> Seifer was still breathing, his skin rippling under the blue light.

<Zidane> "Youre... breathing... " Squall whispers

<Sanosuke> / Then I can't be dead.../

<Zidane> "Can you move?"

<Sanosuke> Seifer twitched a little, the blue light starting to fade.

<Sanosuke> / Am I moving?/

<Zidane> "Youre twitching"

<Sanosuke> Seifer twitched a little more, trying to open his eyes,

<Zidane> "You can .. do it Seifer"

<Sanosuke> Seifer opened his eyes, which glowed with a soft light now, and looked up at Squall.

<Zidane> Squall smiles

<Zidane> "You okay?"

<Sanosuke> / I feel so much better now.../ Seifer slowly stood and looked over at Baby.

<Zidane> Baby flattens his ears agaisnt his head and growls

<Sanosuke> Seifer smiled slightly then looked at the nav controls, which promptly sprung to life. /We're off/ Seifer thought to Squall.

<Zidane> "What are you doing?" Growls the kzin

<Sanosuke> /Taking us to Griever.../ Seifer's voice said in Baby's head.

<Zidane> "The captain will not approve... " Baby growls and unsheathes his claws

<Sanosuke> Seifer grinned at Baby again, staring. In a blink Baby started to rise off his feet, headed for the ceiling.

<Zidane> The kzin freaks out... his kind hating the lack of gravity

<Sanosuke> /Going to be resonable now kitty?/ Seifer's voice asked, /Or shall I drop you?/ only Baby could hear him.

<Zidane> The kzin snarls..... "You ... get your own ship"

<Sanosuke> /This is all I have.../

<Zidane> "What are you going to do when you find Griever...." The Kzin growls...... lashing his tail... unable to pounce because he cant push off of anything

<Sanosuke> /Destroy it.../

<Zidane> "Put me down"

<Sanosuke> /Not when you are ready to pounce me cat../

<Zidane> "The captain does not like you... so neither do I"

<Sanosuke> /Then stay up there./ Seifer smiled to Squall and put his arms around him, no longer sparking.

<Zidane> Squall snuggles into Seifer

<Sanosuke> Flea held Val to him.

<Zidane> "She hit me..... why.....?"

<Sanosuke> "To snap you out of evil thoughts love."

<Zidane> "I was doing... what was best....:

<Zidane> "Nullifying... a threat"

<Sanosuke> "What sort of threat love? You tortured another being..."

<Zidane> "Its taking over my ship... "

<Sanosuke> "Shh... it will be alright."

<Zidane> "No.. no it wont be alright"

<Sanosuke> "Why not?"

<Zidane> "Its going to kill us"

<Zidane> Val whimpers and puts his hands on his head

<Sanosuke> "Why will it kill us love?"

<Sanosuke> Flea stroked his back.

<Zidane> "Its a beast.... nothing....but an animal"

<Zidane> "A worm"

<Sanosuke> "Why do you say that?"

<Zidane> "It is.... my head hurts.... please... make it stop"

<Sanosuke> Flea kissed Val's head. "What makes it an animal?"

<Zidane> "Its never going to be anything more.... than it was before" val babbles

<Sanosuke> "Then what am I? My kind doesn't have a civilization of any kind."

<Zidane> "You are Flea.... youre .. what I love"

<Zidane> "his kind... was nothing but a pest.... and will never be more"

<Sanosuke> "Love... please...let go of your anger."

<Sanosuke> Flea pulled Val into his arms and headed for their roo,.

<Zidane> "I want to go home flea.... but I cant.... I have no home.... what do I do?" Val whimpers as he sits down on the bed

<Sanosuke> "You stay with me...

<Zidane> "I want to go home...."

<Sanosuke> "Isn't home where your heart is?"

<Zidane> "You dont understand.... "

<Sanosuke> "what then?"

<Zidane> "I want to see the sky again"

<Sanosuke> "What was it like?"

<Zidane> "Beautiful... to run barefoot through... the.... " val pauses not remembering the word

<Sanosuke> "Grass?"

<Zidane> "grass......."

<Zidane> "smell.... flowers on the wind....."

<Sanosuke> "WE could find my homeworld."

<Zidane> "I want mine..... its not the same..."

<Sanosuke> Flea sighed, wishing there was something he could do for his love.

<Zidane> "Or... a colony world... they were all terraformed.... to be like the homeworld"
