<Sanosuke> There was a loud splashing outside the house, as if something had fallen into the well that kept the farm supplied with water in the desert heat.

<Zidane> Ashley pokes his head outside, wondering whats going on, brushing the hair out of his eyes

<Sanosuke> Two humans, one male, one female, were getting water from his well. The male had long blonde hair, braded, and an eye patch over one eye. The girl had purple hair and dressed like a man, but her beauty shined through.

<Zidane> Ashley watches them for a moment, then walks towards them

<Sanosuke> "Argh... they got our ship.. those scurvy dogs." The female said to her compainon, not even seeming to notice Ashley's approuch.

<Zidane> "Excuse me, can I help you two?"

<Sanosuke> The man with a patch looked up. "Oh, yeah man... Look, our ship got totalled by the empire. Know where we can find a city around here?"

<Zidane> "Well.... there isnt what you could call a city on this dustball... but there is a town..... "

<Sanosuke> "That will do if we can get off this rock. We got things to sell."

<Zidane> "I can take you there ... its a long walk through the desert

<Sanosuke> "Thanks man. We'll return the favor any way you want."

<Zidane> Ashley nods and becons for them to follow to a rusty looking aircar

<Sanosuke> They followed. "I'm Bart by the way." The man with the eyepatch told him.

<Zidane> "And whose your girlfriend?" Ashley asks somewhat innocently

<Sanosuke> “My names Faris matey.." She said, "And I ain't no ones girl friend."

<Zidane> Ashley nods and starts up the aircar, aiming it for the only major trading center of the planet

<Sanosuke> They all got in.

<Sanosuke> Ashely was about halfway there when suddenly something hit the aircar.

<Zidane> Ashley tries to control the car as it spins off to the side

<Sanosuke> Bart and Faris jumped out, each taking out their weapons to face the band of creatures headed their way.

<Zidane> "Just what I need.”

<Sanosuke> "What the hell are those?" Bart asked.

<Sanosuke> Bart cracked his whip.

<Zidane> "Sand people.... they dont like anyone at all...."

<Sanosuke> "Aye Matey..." Faris nodded, "Let's dispose of thse dogs."

<Zidane> Ashley fishes a blaster out of the aircar and goes about picking off the sanpeople

<Sanosuke> The sand people swarmed and Bart picked them off with his whip.

<Zidane> Ashley takes cover behind the aircar as they attack

<Sanosuke> Suddenly there came a loud crack of gunfire from the hill and the sand people scattered.

<Zidane> "What was that? " ashley says... peering over the aircar

<Sanosuke> Someone jumped down from the hill. It was an old man, in his late 50s or 60s. In one hand he had a machine gun.

<Zidane> "Its that crazy hermit guy...."

<Sanosuke> "I'm not crazy." He said. "Are you three alright?"

<Zidane> "Yes.... we are, thank you"

<Sanosuke> "Come along... they'll be back with more soon. Better come back to my place and we can get that fixed."

<Zidane> Ashley nods and pulls the aircar along quiet easily

<Sanosuke> The man led them all back to his hut cut into the side of the rock.

<Zidane> Ashley settles down in a shady spot and sighs

<Zidane> "Think I'll get back before my wife and kid get into a panic?"

<Sanosuke> "Oh? You have family? I had family once..." The man started making some tea.

<Zidane> "What happened.... if I might ask?"

<Sanosuke> "Hmm... You're too young to remember the death of our homeworld. I.. I lost most of my memories shortly after that happend."

<Zidane> "Oh... my father used to talk about the homeworld.... I was born a year or so lateR"

<Zidane> "Dad felt it important that we get onto a planet.....we've been here on this dustball ever since"

<Sanosuke> "I Think my wife died before that happend.. I don't know what became of my son."

<Zidane> "Think he's still alive?"

<Sanosuke> "I hope so.":

<Sanosuke> The old man sighed and poured some tea, wich Faris and Bart instantly sprang apon.

<Zidane> "You must.. be pretty strong to .... be missing your family... i.. I would lose it if I lost mine... they're all Ive got"

<Zidane> Ashley picks up a cup of tea and contemplates it

<Sanosuke> "I... I miss them. I wish I could remeber their names.. but I got hurt." He knocked the side of his head and their was a metal sound.

<Zidane> "ahh... maybe someday.. you'll find your son"

<Sanosuke> "I hope so. All I have to do is look for the man who looks like me and wears a ring like this." Laguna held up the Griever ring.

<Zidane> "Im trying to save money to get a ship... get out of here"

<Sanosuke> "Ah. You think you can fly it?"

<Zidane> "My dad showed me a few things before he died.....we have an old ship... but its our house now..... thing wouldnt fly"

<Sanosuke> The man nodded. "What's your name kid?"

<Zidane> "Ashley"

<Sanosuke> "I'

<Zidane> Ashley puts his hand out to shake... since his father always told him that was the proper way to greet another human

<Sanosuke> Laguna shook it with a pleasnt old smile. "I'm pleased to meet you."

<Zidane> "Same here.... not many of us left anymore"

<Sanosuke> "Yeah, after the Draz stopped hunting us it seems the empire has picked it up."

<Zidane> "We arent very well liked.... such a weak species "

<Sanosuke> "Well, I know ways we are not so weak." Laguna closed his eyes and the tea pot started to shake.

<Zidane> "Earthquake?" ashley says and looks about startled

<Sanosuke> The pot started to lift into the air.

<Sanosuke> "Nah matey.." Faris said, "It looks more like whitch craft to me."

<Zidane> "Amazing... how ....?"

<Sanosuke> "Telecanesis." Laguna replied, smiling.

<Zidane> "My dad... used to tell me that Earth... was destroyed because the Draz feared us getting stronger.... is... is that what they were afraid of?"

<Sanosuke> "I think so. Their old leaders belived it.. not their new command apperently who forbid Draz from systmaticly hunting and killing humans."

<Zidane> "how did you ... learn to do that?

<Sanosuke> "Over time I devoloped my skills. I've had a lot of time to myself, but anyone with potentail can do it."

<Zidane> Ashley thinks of a million and one uses for powers like that on his farm

<Sanosuke> "What are you doing out here again?" Laguna asked.

<Zidane> "Taking these two to the port... somthing happened to thier ship"

<Sanosuke> "Empire blew it up." Bart told him./

<Zidane> "Great whats the empire doing out here?"

<Sanosuke> "Chasing us..."

<Zidane> "Youre just small time smugglers.... why would they bother?"

<Sanosuke> "Smugglers?" Bart and Faris looked at eachother.

<Zidane> "I figured... from the looks of you two thats what you are...... right?"

<Sanosuke> "Not quite smugglers... but I guess that will do."

<Zidane> Ashley nods

<Zidane> "You did mention something about selling things" Ashley shrugs

<Sanosuke> "Yeah, something we stole from a colony ship."

<Zidane> "Ahh"

<Zidane> "Well.... lets get my car fixed... i have to get home soon.. my wife will kill me if I miss dinner"

<Sanosuke> Laguna nodded and stood up. "I'll help out."

<Zidane> "Faris and Bart youre welcome to join my family and I for the evening.... we wont be getting to the port today"

<Sanosuke> "Alright. That's fine by me." Bart replied as Laguna started to work on repairs.

<Zidane> Ashley helps laguna on repairing the car

<Sanosuke> Soon it was ready to go. "Hope you make it home safely." Laguna told him.

<Zidane> Ashley nods "Thank you for your help again, you are welcome to visit anytime"

<Sanosuke> "Alright." Laguna waved as they took off back for home.

<Sanosuke> It was the next day that the attack happend. Ashely was taking the two pirates to the town when he heard explosions in the distance behind him.

<Zidane> Ashley spins the aircar around, "That... explosion.... my home?"

<Sanosuke> "Oh no..." Bart said, looking up. "An impiral RAID!!!"

<Zidane> "my home.... " Ashley says... softly.... and puts the pedal to the metal on the aircar

<Sanosuke> Faris growled and looked grabbed the blaster, ready to use it.

<Sanosuke> "Are you insane? The empire will kill us all!" Bart yelled as he noticed where they were headed.

<Zidane> "My family is the most important thing to me... in the world.....:

<Sanosuke> Bart sighed and nodded, taking out his whip and biting his lip.

<Zidane> It seems like forever to ashley as they fly towards his home.... his thoughts only on his family

<Sanosuke> When he arrived he saw everything on fire.

<Zidane> "Nooo!!" Ashley cries and jumps from the car.. running towards his burning house

<Sanosuke> Bart and Faris jumped out as well and kept on gaurd.

<Zidane> Ashley tries to get inside the burning ship but the flames are too hot

<Sanosuke> There was no sign of his wife and son, everything was on fire.

<Zidane> Ashley drops to his knees.... gagging on the smoke

<Sanosuke> Faris and BArt rushed over to his side. "Geez... God damn them.. their as bad as the Draz were." BArt siad.

<Zidane> Ashley doesnt respond.... just stares at his dreams gone up in smoke

<Sanosuke> Bart nods to Faris and they both pick him up and carry him back to the air car.

<Sanosuke> Faris sat on him as BArt powerd up the car, heading for Laguna's place.

<Sanosuke> They got their quickly and the next thing Ashley knew Laguna was trying to get him to drink something.

<Zidane> "Uhh.." Ashley sputters, trying to refuse the drink

<Sanosuke> "Come on kid, drink it." Laguna siad.

<Sanosuke> "They told me... just rest and drink this."

<Sanosuke> Laguna took it out of the case and gently handed it to Ashley. "This is Lionheart... it belonged to my wife I belive."

<Zidane> "Its beautiful..."

<Sanosuke> "Yes. Try it."

<Zidane> "I cant even stand up... right now"

<Sanosuke> Laguna nodded and took the blade back. "Thought maybe you could use it against the empire."

<Zidane> "I cant go up against the empire...."

<Sanosuke> "Not alone... just thought you'd want to join the resistance."

<Zidane> "It... I dont...." Ashley sighs

<Sanosuke> "Why not? After what they did..."

<Zidane> "I... "

<Sanosuke> Bart folded his arms. "At this rate I'd love to join up with them man..."

<Sanosuke> "Aye matey.." Faris agreed/

<Zidane> "I wouldnt be able to help..."

<Sanosuke> "Why not?" Laguna asked.

<Zidane> Ashley sighs again

<Sanosuke> "They might not be dead..." Bart told him.

<Zidane> "They probably are...."

<Zidane> "The empire doesnt take prisoners....."

<Sanosuke> "When did you hear that? They took a whole bunch from the ship we were trying to raid... I think it was a colony kingdom."

<Zidane> "Look..... they're dead....."

<Sanosuke> "All better reason to swipe back at those scurvy dogs." Faris said.

<Zidane> Ashley shakes his head and moves to get up

<Sanosuke> "Ashley..." Laguna said, "I don't know if my son is still alive but I keep going thinking one day I will find him."

<Zidane> "They're gone....."

<Zidane> Ashley teeters on his feet

<Sanosuke> Laguna placed his hand on Ashely's shoulder. "You think you're the only one? Did you ever ask your dad what it was like to see the planet destroyed?"

<Zidane> "Youre pressuring me.."

<Zidane> "I just lost everything I ever had.... at least my father still had his family"

<Sanosuke> Laguna sighed. "Sorry..."

<Zidane> "Let me see.... that blade"

<Sanosuke> Bart stepped infront of him. "You're not the only one who has lost his family... so have we... if we let this kill us then our race will die out. We need to fight back."

<Zidane> Ashley reaches out his hand for the Gunblade

<Sanosuke> "We can get one in town." LAguna explained. "They always have ships."

<Sanosuke> Laguna smiled and picked up his gun. "I got some money I saved.. and we can sell your air car if we need more."

<Zidane> Ashley nods and takes the holster for the gunblade for the case.... affixing it around his waist

<Sanosuke> Laguna headed out of his little home and to the air car.

<Zidane> Ashley follows quietly.... still shakey on his feet

<Sanosuke> They all pilled intot he air car and headed off for the town.

<Sanosuke> The town was all dusty from the sand that kept blowing in.. but it had a large population for the planet.

<Zidane> "I hate this place" Ashley mutters

<Sanosuke> "We need to get a ship..." Bart said, looking around.

<Sanosuke> Laguna frowned. "I can feel the pressence of imperials."

<Zidane> "Well... where to start?”

<Sanosuke> "Probably at the cantina." Laguna got out of the air car once it was parked and headed in.

<Sanosuke> Laguna sat down in the booth. "My friends and I need a fast ship."

<Sanosuke> Laguna passed out, and everyone heard a thud of metal against metal.

<Zidane> Ashley goes to Laguna and pokes him

<Sanosuke> Laguna was out cold... having seen something he'd never thought he'd see.

<Zidane> "He's out"

<Sanosuke> "What happend to him man?" Bart asked.

<Zidane> "I.. guess they destroyed this planet...."

<Sanosuke> Bart jumped up and growled. "Who? Let's get them!"

<Sanosuke> "Aye!" Faris agreed.

<Zidane> "The Empire you morons..."

<Zidane> "Does this mean I dont get payed? " Mullen asks curiously

<Sanosuke> "Where are they?" Bart asked. "Of course you'll get paid.

<Sanosuke> ":

<Zidane> "Ahh thats good.... " Mullen says with a grin... then eyes Faris with obvious intent

<Sanosuke> Faris narrowed her eyes and rested her fingers on hr sword hilt, trying to make it clear where she'd put it if Mullen got any closer.

<Zidane> Mullen blinks.... then looks at Bart....

<Zidane> "touchy girlfriend?"

<Sanosuke> "She's not my girlf Friend!!" Bart yelled.

<Zidane> "Gah.. okay... does that mean you'll go on a date with me?"

<Sanosuke> Bart curled his fingers around his whip. "You have a bad approuch.. no way."

<Zidane> "Ohh.... nobody ever wants me.... Flynn.... take us back to port so I can dump these losers"

<Sanosuke> Fynn cawed in a snicker and started to tap at the controls. Then another alarm went off.

<Zidane> "What is it now?"

<Sanosuke> Flynn cawed to explain there was an imperial ship closing in on them.

<Zidane> "An imperial ship... fuck"

<Sanosuke> Bart jumped up. "Oh man.. not now!"

<Zidane> "Somebody lay me so I dont die a virgin!!"

<Sanosuke> Flynn clawed him, trying to knock the sense back into him.

<Zidane> "You will?"

<Sanosuke> Flynn growled and got from his seat into the main room and poked at the smuggling panels.

<Zidane> Mullen helps Flynn

<Sanosuke> Flynn then grabbed Laguna's shirt in his beak and dragged him into the pannel.

<Zidane> "Good idea.... should we stuff the others in as well?"

<Sanosuke> Flynn nodded and moved back to the cockpit to alter the records of the ship will the others got into the pannels.

<Zidane> Mullen secures the panels and heads to the cockpit

<Sanosuke> Flynn moved off into the second set of pannels.

<Zidane> "We gotta hide too?"

<Sanosuke> Flynn nipped him for his stupidity and pushed him into the pannel before securing it above them as the ship was pulled into the battle station.

<Zidane> "Can we cuddle?"

<Sanosuke> Flynn clawed him and growled to be quiet.

<Zidane> Mullen shuts up

<Sanosuke> It wasn't long before noises were heard above in the ship.

<Zidane> Mullen hopes the others are bright enough to stay quiet

<Sanosuke> That's when Laguna started to wake up.

<Zidane> Ashley puts a hand over his mouth to keep him quiet

<Sanosuke> Laguna blinked then nodded, figuring out what was going on.

<Sanosuke> Soon the footsteps retreated.

<Zidane> Mullen looks at Flynn and motions a question as to whether he thinks its safe

<Sanosuke> Flynn sniffs the air then opens the pannel/.

<Zidane> Mullen pokes his head out

<Sanosuke> There was no one in site. Flynn got out and tapped on the other pannel.

<Zidane> Mullen starts opening the other panels to let them otu

<Sanosuke> Laguna crawled out. "I feel the presence of great evil..." He said.

<Zidane> "We're on an imperial ship..."

<Sanosuke> "I know.. but i think on this ship is someone that's in the high command..."

<Zidane> "Great.. lets figure out how to get outta here... okay?"

<Zidane> Ashley just blinks

<Sanosuke> "WE'll have to sneak in and turn off the force beam that will hold us in place if we try to get out."

<Zidane> "Great.... Im not doin it..." Mutters Mullen

<Sanosuke> "Fine coward.. stay here.." Bart told him, "I'm sure Ashley would do it." Bart grinned at Ashley.

<Zidane> "Ohh... but I wanna go with you" Mullen says mockingly and hangs on Bart

<Sanosuke> Bart growled. "Fine.. we'll find the control booth for the docking hatch."

<Zidane> Mullen nip's at Bart's ear

<Sanosuke> Bart growls and pushed him away before taking out his whip and edging down the ramp of the ship, watching otu for gaurds.

<Zidane> Mullen sighs

<Sanosuke> Faris followed and used her quiet gun to destroy the one guard they saw. The bloby creautre evaporated quickly.

<Zidane> Ashley puts his hand on his head

<Sanosuke> "I'll shut down the beams... you coming with me or going with them?" Laguna asked.

<Zidane> "I'll come with you" Ashley says quietly

<Sanosuke> Laguna nodded and headed out of the ship, gripping his machine gun.

<Zidane> Ashley draws his gunblade

<Sanosuke> Flynn followed Mullen and the pirates up to the control booth where they took out two more of the imperial gaurds.

<Zidane> Mullen takes the opportunity to annoy bart as much as he can

<Sanosuke> Bart growled as Faris did a check on some of the logs.

<Sanosuke> "Mateys... a bit of a shock is here." Faris said, looking up.

<Zidane> "Whats that?"

<Sanosuke> "The third prince is here."

<Sanosuke> Bart blinked. "Woah, he is??? We got to go save him.,.. I thought they killed him."

<Zidane> "Third prince?"

<Sanosuke> "They're going to... better yeh get going." Faris shooed Mullen.

<Sanosuke> "Yeah.." Bart said, "I was a prince, Faris is a princess, and there is a third prince of the third kingdom colony."

<Zidane> "Oh wow... am I surrounded by Royalty?"

<Zidane> "mm... royalty..."

<Sanosuke> "Yeah. But Faris and I lost our kingdoms to the empire... and it looks like the last prince lost his too."

<Zidane> "That sucks.... mebbe he'll date me..."

<Sanosuke> "You never know..." Bart sighed, "Why don't you and bird kitty go save him and we'll wait here?"

<Zidane> Mullen frowns

<Zidane> "But I wanna stay with you.... "

<Sanosuke> "Get going... you're never getting anywhere with me and.. and he's cuter! he's still got both eyes."

<Zidane> Mullen licks his lips....

<Sanosuke> Bart shooes Mullen after giving him directions.

<Sanosuke> Flynn growled and headed off with Mullen.

<Sanosuke> Laguna walked around, being careful, and biting his lip. "I still can't shake that feeling."

<Zidane> "I dont feel anything"

<Sanosuke> Laguna sighed. "It's so hard to get through to the young these days... the ones who didn't have to live through seeing their home world destroyed."

<Zidane> "Shut up..."

<Sanosuke> Laguna sighed and sat down on the ground.

<Zidane> "My wife and son are gone.... they were everything to me....

<Zidane> Ashley closes his eyes and does what Laguna says

<Sanosuke> HE started to feel things.. things he'd never felt before. Close by he felt a soft sadness... and all around, he felt menice. In the distence he coudl feel an evil that nearly knocked him over.

<Sanosuke> "Do you feel it Ashley?"

<Sanosuke> Laguna stood up. "Not just a little... you are the one that will save us.. but first you have to want to take on the misson. After all, you have nothing left to loose. I wish that wasn't true for you though..."

<Zidane> "I lost everything.... how can you expect me... to stand up for a bunch of people I know not and care not about....."

<Sanosuke> "Because they have."

<Zidane> "...."

<Zidane> "Lets just get this done..."

<Sanosuke> "Alright." Laguna walked on with him.

<Sanosuke> Flynn cawed at Mullen once they got close to the cells. The Imperal gaurds were all near by, waving their tenticals around.

<Zidane> "So how are we gonna get ridda those beakhead?"

<Sanosuke> Flynn stood up on his hind legs and chirpped, taking up a blaster and waiting for the gaurds,

<Zidane> Mullen draws his blaster as well

<Sanosuke> Flynn roared at the startled guards and started blasting them for fun.

<Zidane> Mullen drops down on one knee and fires at them as well

<Sanosuke> Flynn cawed to Mullen about keeping them occupied while Mullen rescued the prince.

<Zidane> "Alright ...."

<Zidane> Mullen moves to the Cell quickly and uses a gadget to overload the locks"

<Sanosuke> "What the?" Came a voice from one of the cells.

<Zidane> "Shut up and get out here.... you better not be ugly"

<Sanosuke> "The doors Jammed man.. and I'm not ugly!!!"

<Zidane> Mullen grumbles and pries the door open

<Zidane> "Damn they lied... you ... ugh"

<Sanosuke> A young human, about 17, bounced out of his cell and tried to fix his hair. "What? You my rescue?"

<Zidane> "Yeah..... c'mon...."

<Sanosuke> The prince huged him tightly, not letting go. "Oh wow.. and I thought those slimy basterds were gonna kill me!":

<Zidane> "Hmm...."

<Sanosuke> Flynn started to roar loudly, meaning more guards then he could handle were coming.

<Zidane> "Great... lets go pansy boy"

<Sanosuke> "I'm not pansy boy, the name's Zell!"

<Zidane> "Fine fine whatever"

<Zidane> "Lets move"

<Sanosuke> Flynn cawed, they were trapped with the only way out through the guards.

<Sanosuke> "Some rescue..." Zell muttered.

<Zidane> "Shut up or I throw you at them"

<Sanosuke> Zell redied his fists. "I dare you to come over here you disgusting creeps!!!"

<Zidane> "Well .... since we're going to die....."

<Sanosuke> "What?"

<Zidane> Mullen pulls out his blaster, then grabs Zell and kisses him deeply

<Sanosuke> Zell purred, and kissed him back.

<Zidane> Mullen blinks at Zell, then nods to Flynn

<Sanosuke> Flynn growled something and pointed his blaster at a grate in the wall which was eminating bad smells.

<Zidane> "Alright... thats a good idea"

<Zidane> Val drags Zell over to the grate and helps Flynn get it off

<Sanosuke> Zell sniffed it. "Ewww.. in there????"

<Zidane> "You got no choice.... either that or them" Mullen says gesturing over his shoulder at the guards who are now moving foreward

<Sanosuke> Flynn didn't let Zell answer, he butted him down the grate, which made Zell scream very loudly.,

<Zidane> "Wuss...."

<Zidane> Mullen Jumps in after him

<Sanosuke> Zell was shrieking. "GROOSE!!! IT'S MESSING UP MYU MOOSE!!!!!!"

<Zidane> "Shush pretty boy....." Mullen says as he lands in the gook with him

<Sanosuke> Flynn was squaking and flying about, trying to get the door open.

<Zidane> Mullen gets up and examines the door

<Zidane> "It wont open from the inside..."

<Sanosuke> "I want out.. I want out!!!" Zell squeeled.

<Sanosuke> Flynn cawed, pecking at the control pannel.

<Zidane> "We're gonna have to wait till someone opens it...."

<Sanosuke> "That looks like a com pannel.." Zell said, still fussing, "Call someone!!!"

<Zidane> "Who are we gonna call?"

<Sanosuke> Flynn whipped his tail against Mullen, reminding him of the two pirates.

<Zidane> "Those two... yeah... " Mullen says to himself and tabs the control panel to the comm channel

<Zidane> "Hellooooooo out there.... "

<Sanosuke> "What the?" came Bart's voice, "Mullen, that you?"

<Zidane> "Yeah... we can use a little help here.... an... some aerosol spray too..."

<Sanosuke> "You're in the trash compacter?? Woah.. you'd better get out of there now."

<Zidane> "we're stuck dumbass... door wont open from the insides...."

<Sanosuke> "Fine fine.. Faris is working on it now... hmm, what does this button do..."

<Sanosuke> The compacter started to wir.

<Sanosuke> Flynn was still squaking about above them on how he didn't want to become a thin paste.

<Sanosuke> That's when the door infront of them opened and they fell out. Flynn was quick to join them and pull them all the way out before the compacter finished compacting.

<Zidane> Mullen is rather embarassed as he was caught with his pants down

<Sanosuke> Flynn growled, telling him this was not the time for sex... the guards would be coming.

<Zidane> "We have to get by guards?"

<Zidane> Ashley draws his blade and looks to Laguna

<Sanosuke> Laguna nodded and headed out, firing at one guard.

<Sanosuke> "We need to shut down the generator." Laguna said, shooting his gun to hold off the guards.

<Sanosuke> He heard a noise, the noise of booted feet walking along a catwalk. That was odd since the T'lza of the empire had no real feet to wear boots.

<Zidane> Ashley freezes... unsure what to do

<Sanosuke> The footsteps were overhead on the catwalk.

<Sanosuke> On the catwalk appeard to be a man dressed in all black with long silver hair. In one hand he carried a long sword.

<Zidane> ~Who is he?~ Ashley thinks to himself

<Sanosuke> The man was out of the room after another momment, leaving Ashley to complete his task. The evil though had been coming from him,.

<Zidane> Ashley gets to the generator and shuts it down

<Sanosuke> Laguna looked shaken up Ashley got back. "Di-did you see??"

<Zidane> "Yeah... he.... was radiating... pure evil"

<Sanosuke> "S-Sephiroth... that.. that was Sephiroth!"

<Zidane> "Sephiroth?

<Sanosuke> "Yes..." Laguna shivered, "Let's make haste to the ship."

<Sanosuke> Zell tried to keep up with Flynn but kept stopping to shake off more of the trash he had collected.

<Zidane> "C'mon Zell... youre going to get left behind"

<Sanosuke> "I'm FILTHY!!! I can't go anywhere like this!!"

<Zidane> "we can clean you up in the ship"

<Sanosuke> Flynn squaked angerly. Finnaly they made it back to the bay their ship was in.

<Sanosuke> Zell raced to get on as the docking hatch started to open and the two pirates came down from the room they had been in.

<Zidane> "Still on thier way back from the generator I suppose"

<Zidane> Mullen sighs and goes to his quarters to get cleaned up...

<Sanosuke> Zell ran off to find the shower.

<Sanosuke> "We're almost back." Laguna whispred to AShley/

<Zidane> "lets hurry.... we dont want to run into... any friendlies...."

<Sanosuke> Laguna nodded and flattened against the wall by the bay.

<Zidane> Ashley scans the area

<Zidane> "It looks clear....."

<Sanosuke> "No.. it's not. He's here, can't you feel him?"

<Zidane> "I havent... learned to rely on that yet" Ashley says.. and lets his other senses open

<Sanosuke> "Trust your instincts... you can do pretty much anything with your mind." Laguna told hi,.

<Zidane> "I do feel.... him now"

<Sanosuke> Laguna clutched his gun.

<Zidane> Ashley pulls his blade

<Sanosuke> Laguna nodded to him and they stepped out into the docking bay. Sephiroth stepped out near them, grinning and holding his long sword.

<Zidane> Ashley glares at Sephiroth

<Sanosuke> Sephiroth laughed at them. "Think you worthless humans could get away?"

<Zidane> "You get brainfucked or something?"

<Sanosuke> Sephiroth laughed. "No.. but you will once I'm done with you." Sephiroth made one small gesture and the blade flew from Ashley's hand and into the wall.

<Sanosuke> "Resist his power!" Laguna shouted.

<Zidane> Ashley growls

<Sanosuke> Sephiroth laughed and swung his huge blade around.

<Zidane> "laguna .... what do I do?"

<Sanosuke> "Get the blade.. I'll hold him off." The old man said, firing at Sephiroth.

<Zidane> Ashley runs for the blade

<Sanosuke> Sephiroth turned and swung his sword down at Ashley's shoulder.

<Zidane> Ashley squeaks and drops to the floor to try and dodge it

<Sanosuke> "Pathetic human..." Sephiroth laughed, turning his attention back to Laguna.

<Zidane> Ashley keeps moving for the Blade.... grumbling to himself

<Sanosuke> Laguna yelped in pain just as Ashley got to the gunblade.

<Zidane> ashley grits his teeth and charges at sephrioth

<Sanosuke> Laguna dropped his gun and clutched his wound as Sephiroth spun to block Ashley's blade.

<Zidane> ~okay... what do I do now?~ Ashley thinks to himself

<Sanosuke> Sephiroth grinned. "Stupped are you? How about die?"

<Sanosuke> Laguna coughed and there was blood coming to his lips. "Ship.. must get to ship.." He groaned.

<Zidane> "Gods... Laguna....." Ashley slips his arms under him and picks him up

<Sanosuke> Laguna leaned on him for support and collapsed on the couch inside the ship as Flynn got them out of the base.

<Zidane> ashley sits by Laguna.. trying to stop his bleeding

<Sanosuke> Laguna panted softly and looked weakly at Ashley. "He's.. strong."

<Zidane> Ashley nods

<Sanosuke> Laguna started taking off his ring. "I wish I could have found my son.." He gasped weakly.

<Zidane> "No youre not going to die..."

<Sanosuke> "Please find him if he's still alive.." The old man looked into the young man's eyes.

<Zidane> "no.. Laguna... you have to teach me...."

<Sanosuke> Laguna groaned softly in pain. "Ashley... There is another that.. can teach you better.. the.. the one that taught me long ago. The info is back home at my hut." He started closing his eyes.

<Zidane> "No... no... Laguna....."

<Sanosuke> "Please... the son I wish I had... tell my son if he lives that I loved him always in my heart and never gave up looking.."

<Zidane> "C'mon... you cant.....

<Sanosuke> Laguna placed the ring in Ashley's hand, his eyes closed.

<Sanosuke> Meanwhile, Flynn was asking Mullen when they were going to leave.

<Zidane> Ashley waves to Zell and gets up to follow Bart.

<Zidane> "as soon as they give us clearance.” Mullen replied

<Sanosuke> Flynn went into the middle of the ship and plunked down to preen some feathers.

<Zidane> Mullen is shirtless from his shower and has a towel draped around his shoulders... and is boredly checking over readouts

<Sanosuke> Zell taps him on the shoulder.

<Zidane> "uhh?" Mullen says and turns to Zell

<Zidane> "Hello... look.... Im sorry bout the money......"

<Sanosuke> "I didn't know you had wings."

<Zidane> "Okay you asked for it Zell..." Mullen says and starts to carry him to his bedroom

<Sanosuke> Zell giggled as he was carried off, not knowing that an Imperial battle fleet was moving over the planet.

<Zidane> Mullen kneels over Zell and spreads his wings out... which are quite large for the amount that they can scrunch down

<Zidane> Mullen leans down and plucks at Zell's shirt as he kisses him softly, hands questing for an easy way to get it off

<Sanosuke> Zell kissed back eagerly, then nearly jumped as the alarms went off.

<Zidane> "Fuck.... what is it now?" Mullen says... his wings drooping

<Sanosuke> "AHH!!! We're under attack!!!"

<Zidane> "fuck... FLYNN!"

<Sanosuke> Flynn was awake in an instant and at the controls, squaking away.

<Zidane> Mullen Joins flynn on the bridge.... "quick... get us undocked so we're not sitting ducks"

<Sanosuke> Zell ran to his side. "I'll give them the signle." He got to the com seat and shouted out orders to evacuate. The hatch opened after that.

<Zidane> "zell.. youre stuck with us until we can regroup okay?"

<Sanosuke> "Fine by me."

<Sanosuke> Bart, meanwhile, was racing to his ship with AShely.

<Zidane> "Bart slow down a little!!" ashley huffs

<Sanosuke> "Slow down? The empire is attacking! Come on... we need to get to my ship."

<Zidane> "Im hurrying..." ashley huffs and sticks with Bart... a little unused to the weigh of the blade strapped to his back

<Sanosuke> Bart opened the hatch of his fighter and climbed in.

<Zidane> Ashley climbs in along with him

<Sanosuke> "Ready for lift off?" Bart asked, going over the checks.

<Zidane> "ready... " Ashley says... sealing off the hatch and stowing his gear before strapping in

<Sanosuke> Bart lifted them off, joining the rest of the fleet as they punched their way through the imperials.

<Zidane> Ashley keeps the guns ready... picking off the stray fighter that gets too close

<Sanosuke> "We're through!" Bart cheered, "Plotting a course to Midna."

<Zidane> "Phew... geez... how long till we get there?"

<Sanosuke> "Not long with this ship. Just get some sleep and we'll be there."

<Zidane> "sleep.... yeah.... where at?"

<Sanosuke> "Just relax and close your eyes."

<Zidane> "Oh... kei... heh.... ships are still kinda new to me...." ashley says as he makes himself comfortable and closes his eyes

<Sanosuke> Oddly, sleep came easy to him. He woke to a slight impact.

<Zidane> 'Mph... Bart?"

<Sanosuke> Bart groaned. "I'm ok.. but the ship's hurt. I'll repair it while you go find that Cetra... we're here."

<Zidane> Ashley pops the hatch and peers outside

<Sanosuke> The area was the most green he had ever seen. The ship was half in a pond and half on a bed of flowers. Trees and flowers were all that met the eye.

<Zidane> "We squashed someone's flowers Bart..."

<Sanosuke> "Maybe.. but there are no signs of technology on this world."

<Zidane> "hmmm... well.. Im gonna go have a look around.." Ashley says and slings a pack on his shoulder.... along with his blade

<Sanosuke> "Alright. I'll be here." BArt started to whistle while he worked.

<Zidane> "You be careful" Ashley says as he disappears into the greenery

<Sanosuke> The place was so beautiful and tranquil that Ashley wondered if anyone at all could be living on it.

<Zidane> "heloooo?"

<Sanosuke> "Hi!" Came a cheerful female voice from behind him.

<Zidane> Ashley spins... drawing his blade reflexively

<Sanosuke> There was a lovely woman, with long brown hair and green eyes standing there. She smiled at him. "Welcome Ashley."

<Zidane> Ashly lowers his sword

<Zidane> "Umm... hi"

<Sanosuke> "I'm Aeris." She told him, smiling still.

<Zidane> "Umm... are you who I was sent here.... for?"

<Sanosuke> "Yes." She sat down in the flowers.

<Zidane> Ashley nods

<Sanosuke> "Sit down please Ashely." She said.

<Zidane> ashley sits down

<Sanosuke> "So, what questions do you have first?" She asked.

<Zidane> "First of all... was that.... really Laguna... telling me.. to come here?"

<Sanosuke> Across the way Mullen spotted the scruffy looking old pilot with the cigarette in his mouth.

<Sanosuke> "Mullen! What the fuck did you do to my ship???"

<Zidane> "Cid... cid... the imperials did it... nto me”

<Sanosuke> Cid folded his arms and blew smoke out of his mouth. "Right... you still travling with Flynn? And who's the punk?"

<Zidane> Mullen follows Cid along .... sorta hungry himself

<Sanosuke> The dinning room was already filled with food, which Zell immedietly started eating.

<Sanosuke> "I won't." Zell said, gulpping stuff down.

<Zidane> Mullen sighs and shakes his head then sits down and helps himself

<Sanosuke> Cid brings Mullen a drink and sets it next to him.

<Zidane> "Thanks Cid.... so.... hows it been?" Mullen says... casually sipping from the drink

<Sanosuke> He could see the back of the man in the pilot seat... a red pony tail falling back against a navy blue suit.

<Sanosuke> "Probaly been stollen by now at that port."

<Zidane> Tseng is sitting at his desk, a bottle of some sort of alcohol at his side as he files his nails

<Zidane> "Hmm.... now that we have him.... we have to decide what to do with him...."

<Sanosuke> "WE do owe the Empire tribute soon..."

<Zidane> Tseng pours off some of the bottle into a glass and pushes it at Reno

<Sanosuke> Reno sat down and drank from the glass.
